Unfortunately he doesn’t seem like a coach who tends to commit with one club for a long period. Can we please sign him to a longer deal.
I remember thinking that about Keano when he joined. Apart from a brief, failed love affair with Liverpool, he fell in love and stayed a lot longer than I thought he would.Unfortunately he doesn’t seem like a coach who tends to commit with one club for a long period.
And consider the unavoidable fallout with Levy which will happen sooner or later. Lets enjoy the ride while it lasts and hope that next guy wont be Nuno 2.0.
Just a reminder / warning as an Italian journalist said when we hired him.Can we please sign him to a longer deal.
Yep I think it was PEH or Son who said it on an interview recently but one of our players said it’s great with Conte as he is very clear on what we need to do individually and as a team. When Conte took over we were bottom of the table for distance run, and we’re now top of that table.
The aspect he has changed the most (other than just simply the running) is a consistent sense of purpose in terms of forwards movement. The defenders and midfielders know exactly where the forwards and wing backs will be, giving multiple options. Takes a lot of the ‘in the moment’ decision making away and enables them to just concentrate on execution. As players get fitter they’ll make less execution mistakes too.
Conte did absolutely everything from a tactical perspective to grind that result out. We played OK in patches but at times the game was getting away from us. The decisive substitutions helped grind it out big time.
When we went 352 that worked very well untill West Ham made there subs and we sat backWest Ham were better than us tonight. Not sure the tactical substitutions worked - they worked for afew minutes then West Ham didnt take too long to read what was going on.
My point is that it's not passive like under Jose and Nuno who just sat and waited for us to concede.West Ham were better than us tonight. Not sure the tactical substitutions worked - they worked for afew minutes then West Ham didnt take too long to read what was going on.
Or you know.. we just enjoy the moment?Unfortunately he doesn’t seem like a coach who tends to commit with one club for a long period.

I'm definitely not even thinking about the next guy. I can't see why anyone would.Unfortunately he doesn’t seem like a coach who tends to commit with one club for a long period.

Were they; they didn't create one clear chance (not counting the goal as that was created by us)West Ham were better than us tonight. Not sure the tactical substitutions worked - they worked for afew minutes then West Ham didnt take too long to read what was going on.
Yes that was an amazing statistic... he turned us from bottom to top, in a matter of weeks. He got a tune out of bergwijn, and dare I say it Doherty tonight. Against Liverpool, he did it with winks and dele.
He's simply an elite coach.
Also, I saw a stat in game where spurs have gone from being 20th, in running stats to 1st under Conte
