If nothing else, the latest ITK has given me a reason to get off the lap top for the rest of the day.

Real world here I come!!!

I think I’ll join you. A window where we shifted a lot of older/unwanted players and signed a lot of promise sounds a lot better summarised that way without digging too deep into the hows, the whys and the d’you mind if we don’ts that *always* seem to come up. We’re not alone in this, of course (City and Liverpool have signed one player each, I think, albeit from better starting positions!) but getting too caught up in all the rumours just makes it seem a bit disappointing. And as for the latest about Levy, well… It’s all already been said!

A fair window, could be very good in hindsight or could be poor, apparently too much to get done in one window to *really* update the squad, and the same old issue about how to bring in a worthwhile backup/alternative to Kane. I’ll give the last few hours a swerve and just enjoy being top for a couple of weeks.

reading all these neg posts makes me wonder ...its like we didn't sign anyone at all or we signed poor players. I think that even if we signed messi, ronaldo, haaland and mbappe that some on here would still nag we didn't sign a good backup goalie

get with the programme - we were never gonna replace the entire squad in one Window!

I agree with you to some extent. But I think Spurs fans could deal with Lloris in and have Hart as back up for another year.

The fact of the matter is, we are not replacing 22 goals from last season. That is huge!

I can deal with no midfielder to replace Sissoko but in attack, its absolutely unacceptable.

Surely we needed more than a good solid window. We were well behind the top 4 last season, and personally think we will end the season just as far back if not further. I am not letting myself get carried away just because of our good start.

I don't think our midfield of Alli. Skipp and PEH is anywhere near strong enough to compete over a long arduous season. Then we have the unreliable Ndombele who phones it in, and Lo Celso who as yet hasn't really convinced consistently.

Our RWF slot is being fought over by Berg and Moura who both are not good enough, I don't care how subjective people want to be, neither score or create anywhere near enough to justify a start. We likely have just one more season of Kane, to get us into CL again, and I feel we've been left too short yet again.

There are a lot of unknown factors that could have been mitigated with just a couple more solid signings. It is what it is though, it is the story of ENIC and Levy, we just never do quite enough. We haven't gone all out for CL, we have done enough to keep us mildly competitive and hope loads of things go our way.

Wasn't it 7 points? With us losing more than that from winning positions over the season?

Hardly 'well behind'.

We had second best goal scoring last season behind city and we finished 7, nonsense. Get over your hate to Levy you support Tottenham Hotspur not Levy united.

Yes last season centred on just two players having exceptional seasons. No guarantee they do that again. Do you realise how crazy it is to rely on just two main goalscorers and not pad the rest of the squad out with goalscorers? And no I won't get over my dislike of the lack of ambition shown by Levy on the pitch.

To put it in perspective, we are a Kane doing his ankle for England next week away from our season being in crisis days after the window closes.

Whatever happened to 1 striker in Kane stays

2 if he leaves

What happened was those strikers prices went to stupid levels, if ITK and reports are to be believed.
Not to mention Inter getting a shock bid by Chelsea for Lukaku meaning they no longer needed to shift Martinez.
