I'm seriously considering writing to the FA should this go through and questioning how can it be right that its England captain be employed by a state that has such little disregard for human rights.

In fact I'd like all spurs fans to do it. Their should be consequences for him chasing the blood money like he is
And they'll say they won't get involved in political matters. It's been FIFA's stance for decades now, so easy to bat away.

I know its fruitless but I'm a childish prick?

Also I'm not sure they can say that at the moment with all the debate around taking the knee. A proper campaign by fans would be interesting

Harry Kane trained alone as the Tottenham Hotspur striker’s increasingly protracted Manchester City transfer saga took yet another twist.
The 28-year-old, who has not been seen in public this season, posted a photo of himself on social media at the club’s Hotspur Way headquarters while his team-mates travelled to Portugal for a Europa Conference League play-off. “Another session in the bank,” the England captain captioned the image, which showed only him in training.
While Kane tried to change the negative narrative surrounding his attempts to force a move, The Times learnt that if City want to sign Kane they will have to sell one of their players. Sources from within the club’s hierarchy admitted that: “If no one leaves the club, it is going to be difficult to complete any big signing.”

City, though, remain confident of recruiting Kane, but fear that the player may start to think that a transfer is not possible because of the tough stance adopted by Daniel Levy, the Spurs chairman.
Senior sources at City confirmed that Levy was refusing to enter into any kind of negotiation, which has frustrated Kane. The Spurs academy graduate believes that he and Levy came to a gentlemen’s agreement last summer whereby he would be allowed to leave if the team did not win a trophy or qualify for the Champions League. They finished seventh in the table and lost the Carabao Cup final to City.

Tottenham said this summer that an offer of £160 million would be required to sign Kane. City value Kane at about £120 million but could throw more add-ons into the deal in an attempt to persuade Spurs to sell.
The tweet posted by Kane was the first public comment he has made since releasing a statement a fortnight ago in which he claimed that the five-day delay in him returning to Tottenham’s pre-season training was planned. In it, he described himself as “hurt” after fans questioned his professionalism.
A number of supporters responded by asking why it had taken almost a week for either player or club to make a public statement despite widespread media reports that Kane was on strike in an attempt to leave the club.
Kane’s desire to leave Spurs after ten years was known before the end of last season, with the majority of fans supporting his choice, despite him having three years left on a six-year contract, because of the club’s decline over the past two seasons. It is the manner in which he has seemingly tried to force a move that has upset the club’s supporters.

The growing disquiet of the fans was evident on Sunday at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium when, during the 1-0 victory over City, which Kane was not involved in, they loudly chanted: “Are you watching, Harry Kane?”
His absence for that game and for the Europa Conference League first leg play-off against Paços de Ferreira has been explained as a need to return to fitness after England reached the European Championships final. Supporters pointed out that seven of the 11 England players that started the final against Italy featured for their clubs over the weekend.

Kane is reported to be hopeful of being fit for the game with Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday and Nuno Espírito Santo, the Spurs head coach who had breakfast with Kane, said that he was looking forward to seeing his star striker in action.
“He is better,” he said. “His fitness is getting better and better each day. He will work today and he will work tomorrow and he will join the group on Friday. Saturday we will make the decision of who is going to be involved in the Wolves game. Harry is our player. He is one of the best players in the world and we are very lucky to have him. He grew up as a Spurs player. He is a Tottenham Hotspur player.
“What we must be sure of is that when we decide to put a player on the pitch we have to consider all the aspects — the fitness, the mental aspect — and we are here to support all the players and Harry, of course, has all our support.”
To be able to raise their offer, City will have to offload one of their first-team players, with Bernardo Silva and Aymeric Laporte among the leading candidates to leave before the transfer window closes on August 31. City have already spent a large portion of their budget by buying Jack Grealish for £100 million, although the club say that purchase was part-funded by sales totalling £60 million over the past year.
After Pep Guardiola admitted two weeks ago that the future of Silva was uncertain, the 27-year-old Portugal forward did not feature in the league opener despite having trained with the first team for several weeks.
It is understood that Silva has had a gentlemen’s agreement with City since last summer, when they said he could leave the following year if an acceptable offer was tabled. Silva wants to move to Spain to be closer to his family. Arsenal had expressed an interest in signing Silva but he does not want to move to another Premier League club.
Barcelona had suggested a swap deal including one of their fringe players but City were not interested. They want cash for Silva but Barcelona are incapable of paying any transfer fees as they are £1.15 billion in debt. Atletico Madrid are also interested in signing Silva.
Laporte, meanwhile, is attracting the interest of Juventus. The 27-year-old centre back lost his starting place last season because of the excellent form of John Stones and Rúben Dias. It will be difficult, though, for Laporte to find a club who are willing to match the terms of his contract, which is worth about £160,000 per week.

So Silva has a ‘Gentlemans Agreement’ that he can leave if an acceptable offer is made, which doesn’t seem to be an issue but When it’s Kane its a massive issue and Levy is a **** for not fulfilling his side of it ??‍♂️

Tbh the most annoying thing about City saying they need to sell to buy is that we know it isn't actually true. They have the money and the rules are out the window. Pep just wants that Bernardo money so he can say in press conferences that a 260mil spend isn't a big deal and people should stop being mean to city.

If this is true, realistically I can only see this happening with a cash + player swap deal, to simplify the deal with time running out. That I guess means Silva or Laporte plus cash. Unlikely I reckon, but possible.

You’d be better off writing to their sponsors.

It’s looking unlikely we’ll sign a suitable replacement for Kane this summer.

We’re better off keeping him this year, hoping we get Champions League, and binning him off next summer for £100m

Does anyone else think this guy read one of A&C's stories in the ITK thread and thought it was real?

But hang on in the end all he did was take an extra few days off. Now the dust has settled Its not nearly as bad as we once thought. The man played a full season and euro championships and made it to the final. Now he’s back in full training and with the squad I don’t think he did that much wrong. Maybe just a Blip but I don’t think he completely destroyed his legacy he built over the last decade.

All he did was take a few extra days off? Next time you book a week off work don't come back for two weeks and see what your boss says. Then talk shit about him and your company in the local papers and see what the reaction is. I doubt you'd be getting a promotion soon.

The Telegraph story says top 4 or a trophy. Both were within the grasp last season. If Kane believed that either would block his way out and it negatively affected his performance then that’s sabotage. Certainly the timing of the Neville interview before the Villa game was a strategic move. No matter how stupid the strategy was.

This be fair it I was going to accuse anyone of sabotaging the cup final it would be the club for sacking the manager the week of the final.

Might have held more weight if Jose hadn't seen us get absolutely smashed (play, not results) in every game we'd played against them. People eventually dismiss league games, but I dread to think of the stain on our history if we'd got thumped 6-0 in a cup final :(

The more I think about it I don't think we should sell him, we desperately need CL football and he is a proven goal scorer, I'm not keen on shiny new toys or the unknown, and I don't think we should be gambling on what the next player could be when we already know what we have.

With three years left on his contract were not in a position to need to sell, I think we should see how it pans out this season hopefully get CL and then look at the lay of the land next year when we will have revenues back from the stadium.

Its not really about fair, its about what is best for the club and the supporters. I don't think we owe HK anything, there is no gentleman's agreement when it comes to paying his wages and bonusses its a contract, he has a contract to be here for 3 years.

He's gone, if he's still here in a weeks time i'd be surprised. That's all onion by the way.
It feels that way. The clincher for me is that City haven't really had any solid links to any other striker, it feels very much like they are all in on Kane.

Just that they are trying very hard to not pay what we are demanding.
