Yep, this is exactly what I meant! Glad that someone got it because again, English is not my first language, not even the second one. So these long posts are quite a problem for me to express and share my thoughts and feelingsI agree, that's how to sell it to stop the "Kane money" tax. Brief the media we're playing 2 up front.
Though I also think if your end game is to replace Kane with Vlahovic + Martinez, and aren't sure if City are going to meet your price - you go for Martinez first as he's the better fit with Kane in the same XI.
Worst case you keep Kane one more year and complete the striker rebuild next summer.
We seem to have been very clever not to use too much cash up front for Romero & Gollini, so it's not impossible.
I expect Kane will ultimately be sold, but it's not in Spurs control to MAKE City meet our price. Nor should we bow to any pressure to do so.
Except that's really bad business. Not competing in European competitions costs money so it doesn't make sense to asset stripYes, but the rescuers are usually Venture Capitalists or Private Equity Funds. Their only interest in these clubs is how much they can make by asset stripping.
Yep and on the top of that MU has something like 15% sell-on feeDon’t Inter still own Man Utd about £40 million of the Lukaku fee or something stupid like that?
If so, then they won’t be raising that much from selling him if half the fee has to go back to Man Utd. Therefore they will have to raise other funds too surely?

It sounds like that is the case. I don't think this one is going away just yet. I think it's also why Vlahovic seems to have cooled off.
Probably comes down to what our absolute most is on price, what was previously agreed is probably already near that.
I worry about Atleitico's potential involvement, they are a huge pull. Could see Arsenal finding the cash but they seem to be struggling to move on Lacazette.
He ain’t going to Arsenal mate. They are well down on most players lists nowadays surely?
Ath Madrid, if they have the money, must be our biggest threat. Especially if the player prefers Spain. But I thought they were trying to offload a few players too. Who knows? Hopefully paratici!
Martinez-Kane-Son = Plan 'a' playing in a fluid front 3. They will all drop deep at times and tuck in, dont get hung up on strict positions.
Martinez-Vlahovic-Son =plan 'b' if city pay the money.
Gil-Martinez-Son........ I would not rule this out either if we were to only get martinez. Gil provides great service and i think this kids going to really take off. Leaving money to spend elsewhere if kane leaves.
I think they are trying to get an attacker in but like you said mostly through player swaps which is no good for Inter.
2nd striker, playing off and to the right of Immobile, I believe. No idea who Correa is or his preferred position, but Inter fans must be delighted they're getting a 35 year-old to replace Lukaku.
A thread here which if correct is not good for inter, they still owe us €12m for Eriksen and also still owe Madrid for Hakimi, also they owe half of the lukaku fee to United still
Ouch

That’s the Kane money gone and well spentWow. Raid from us incoming?
I would take Lautaro, Barella and one of their CB (Skriniar/De Vrij)
The point is: they are in massive debts. And still owe money everyoneIsn't that how most transfers are structured?
It is but once they sell Lukaku they likely need to pay man utd what's owed so it does take a chunk of cash from them.Isn't that how most transfers are structured?
