Loved that performance.

I take it all back that the league is dead. Our attitude since West Ham has been brilliant. Bring on top four :)

I'm, so pleased that others have just noticed what I did! I'm as angry as I'd be if we had lost! We win 4 - 1 and all the conversation is about Bale only being 31 and should be ripping up trees. Sorry, but Keane got shipped out of UTD at 33, because he became rubbish (and never had pace anyway). Graeme Souness got shipped out of Liverpool at 31 (?), and both feel they have the right to go to town on GB (and Micah Richards needs to call a bullying helpline). Good performance, lovely to see almost everyone going forward, enjoyed it thoroughly, but now I've almost forgotten that and become angry at Sky instead!

Wish dave jones would have given that response back to them

Watching Son tonight I noticed a couple of things he did. No big deal but its something he could easily improve on. Also I'm a huge huge Son fan so not bashing him. Love the guy. Anyway,
When he ran to win the ball or close someone down who has the ball, rather than slow down before he gets there, he dives in full speed. They just knock the ball to the side and go past him as his momentum takes him past them. This is something you coach kids not to do.
Also he slid in on his arse twice when it was unnecessary, taking him out the game.
I'll be looking out next match to see if he does them again. Never noticed it before so may be nothing. Played well tonight.

We need to tell Son Sr

Come on mate. The NLD would be on first if Utd's game was a walkover Palace.

Liverpool losing 6 in a row at home is a big talking point.

But fair play on finding something to moan about.
Its every Spurs fans right to moan about something, more a call of duty, even after a 4.1 win ;)

My, totally legal, stream was really crap today so I found it hard to watch properly.

I wonder if Son was doing this high up the pitch. While you are correct that this makes it easier for the player to take it round him, if he does win the ball this can result in taking the player out as the player winning the ball gets it as full pace. Makes it much harder for the defender to recover than the player nicking it at a standstill.

Yep definitely a valid debate as to what it took Bale around 6 months to be in a position to play 60 minutes every 3 days but unless this is discussed with Bale and mourinho present then its just total speculation
Nothing to do with our stubborn manager? can't remember which game now but it's only about a month ago when he hooked Bale and they didn't acknowledge each other at all as Bale came off,he'd tried virtually everything else before he's turned to Bale as virtually a last throw of the dice as we were in freefall and it's working ,lets hope it continues but can't help feeling he could have rescued a few games against the dross if he'd chucked him on if just for the last 20 minutes, the narrative will be pushed that it's taken him this long to get fit but I'm far from convinced.

As bubble07 said, pure speculation.

Mourinho is not blameless in this but neither is Bale

Whether or not it was down to the manager or the player I think we can draw a line under it and move on, we got to this stage now so we should be looking forward and not dwelling on the past.

Sky really is dog shit and only getting worse. They need a clear out of pundits and a change of style. Its like tabloid television for sports. Glad I don't pay for it.

They already cleared some out last year which shows you how many bad pundits they had working for them.

every time bale appeared before this period, he didn't look quite right didn't he? he seem to be trusting his body more now and pushing harder

3 points closer to City. Rounded off a good weekend of football. My only worry or may be seen as a good thing , we win 4-1 and still Im not convinced we are were we should be.
