Ah thanks. To my mind this one was always Trix’s , well this and Bale.Dave
It’s a fantastic deal for all involved. From the players perspective, if knows this is only a temporary move and he must perform if he wants to stay permanently. From our perspective, we get a motivated striker who, if it doesn’t work, will go back to his club, no stress trying to sell him etc. And for Benfica, they either get their player back or they get £37m at the end of the season.
Also leaves us with funds to focus entirely on Skriniar.
I get the impression at least 3 people forgot Vertonghen played for Benfica. No need to send Toby there
some guy on tfc who lives in portugal says its breaking news on tv there and happening

Reds prefer selling and have other offers from Italy and Spain
The Benfica and Tottenham are negotiating the loan Carlos Vinicius, found the platform next to the next process source. Talks continue at this point, but there is still no white smoke.
There is still no white smoke because Benfica has other offers for the definitive sale of the Brazilian striker, something more to the liking of the reds. However, the player, top scorer of the last league, prefers the Premier League and Tottenham . José Mourinho is looking for a forward to attack the spurs, since he only has Harry Kane and Carlos Vinicius is to his liking.
Jorge Mendes, businessman from Mourinho and Carlos Vinícius, is at the forefront of the negotiations and could be decisive in this process. Benfica have not yet accepted the offer, but Tottenham have also made it clear that they will not wait much longer for a decision.
