The onus was on who then? Poch or Levy or Hitchen or then Mitchell or the scouts? I don't understand this point, because if we traced back, Levy did spend, and he still spends, IF he's convinced the deals are worthy. But just looking at this list will give a very clear view how underwhelming majority of the players signed during Poch reign were and their impact:Davies is a good footballer and was great as a cover for a top 4 team fighting on 4 fronts. As a starting 11 and then someone of less ability behind him? Well your team is only going to be worse.
Just a shame we didn't replace our top quality players when they left and we were actually in the top 4, instead of now when we're playing catch up.
Better late than never I suppose.

On hindsight, with now the imminent arrival of Bale and Reguilon, was it really a case of not replacing the players OR no good identification of replacements? We still have more than 2 weeks of window left, and amidst the Covid19 situation when budget are deemed so tight, our arrivals and some ITKs so far seem to point very clearly as time passes that it is the latter.
