Hugely exciting signing, IF it should happen. The influence he will have on the young players coming up AND the seasoned pro's already there could prove totally invaluable.

Fingers crossed

Wow that took some catching up!
Well done SC, this thread like the Bale transfer (seemingly) has moved fast and has been a delight to follow.

? Good job everyone, quality community.

The Bale business is absolutely phenomenal and at just the right time to really give a boost to the team and fans.

We are lacking winners in our team. Those that have won major championships and played a key part in this. Having someone, alongside Hugo, who has won major honours at the training ground/dressing room/on the pitch is exactly what we’ve been missing for years.

I think, no matter how this move turns out on the pitch, it's sure to give us a boost off the pitch. I can't think of anything that signals real intent to compete from the board level up more than getting Gareth Bale back.

Think of the leaders in the dressing room, getting someone with his experience and skill in as well. I am over the moon with this and might even consider getting a player name on the back of my 20/21 shirt for the first time in 10-ish years.

Tall, yes!

Probably the one you scored against. He was caught up the in the Bale-transfer, saving us 20 mill.

Its like we are trying to make Bale feel at home again. Remember when you played with that Giraffe Peter Crouch well look what we brought for you now!
