SC 3 hours ago : 'if this was close, it'd be all over the media'
SC after 5 different media publications state we're in for him : 'PR stunt, baldy out'

Let's be honest here. Bale doesn't happen. We sign Bas Dost or some other Donkey. Finish mid table with embarrassing exits from all the cups. Jose gets sacked and we bring in Eddie Howe. Spend the next 10 years reliving the late 90s/early 00s with opposition chants centering around 'nice stadium, shit team'. It's over. I'm a positive person really

It would take me until likely 2022 to recover should Bale go to manure when it was possible he could have returned to Spurs. I just... I can’t imagine the depths of the sigh I would emit if (when????) I read that official news.

I think Levy realises we need some stardust. I decided to renew my season ticket this year but i have to say it wasn’t as clear cut a decision as it has been for last 20 years. I just am not enjoying it as much and find that if I am doing whole 6 hours door to door then I need to be excited about our team. Currently we are perhaps the least entertaining team in the country.

Thankfully, there is always West Ham, mate

How long will it take when Kane goes to United?

The message of intent by signing Bale is greater than the actual playing ability he'll likely bring.
In more ways than one. If we sign him, the collective sigh of relief from the BSoDL will be audible in space. Although one swallow doesn't make a summer or whatever the saying is, I would hope those of us who have been slagging the stunted one off are big enough (hehe) to give him at least credit for finally showing a bit of ambition, it's what we now require from the leader of this football club. Not just this once, but going forward it must be how he acts.

Yep Bale to Utd whilst we sign 6ft 4ins 31yr old Bas Dost or Troy Deeney on deadline day to pump long balls to under a manager who is a ticking timebomb, that's goodnight from me.

Sign Bale Levy to make up for all the awfulness you little bald cretin.

Can he still play left back? And can he also play right back, #10, striker and defensive midfield? And can he play all of those positions simultaneously in an aimless 4-4-2 that presses only somewhat, like just enough to get out of position but not enough to actually pressure the opposition or make a tackle?
Asking for a friend.

BSoDL won't change, they'll recycle the old excuses, it was difficult, he's on too much and we would have to up everyone else's wages, he's injury prone, he's not what we need, we have a stadium to pay for.

Even if it wasn’t his fault the narrative now will be we could have signed Bale but Levy allowed him to join Utd. Fan opinion of him if he’s playing for Utd next season will never have been lower.

Not sure he’s greatly bothered to be honest, the only time in the documentary he seemed genuine was when he was almost choking up saying our profit this year obviously isn’t as big as the previous year.
