Yesterday when JM & DL we’re discussing Winks improvement (apparently there has been one) Levy was in awe of Jose, big eyes looking at him, fawning. Stockholm syndrome is alive and well.

Some ITK on the doc: Poch barely features because he refused to engage with the cameras. He wanted nothing to do with it.
Makes me think that maybe having a film crew around had a genuinely detrimental effect on the team and training and everything. Mourinho even said he was glad they weren't being filmed any more and I would've thought that sort of ego-stroking thing would be right up his alley.

Anyway, after eagerly waiting for the first 2 lots of 3 episodes, I genuinely don't know if I can be arsed to watch the final 3. Certainly not with the urgency and anticipation of before.

Just finished Ep. 7.

Seeing the reactions of players after a defeat, Vorm's reaction to firstly being picked for the Norwich game and then afterwards, and also Dier's words after he'd gone into the stands - I do wonder if the greatest takeaway from the show (for me, at least) has been the reminder that these are human beings. Seems silly, but I think we tend to see them as characters more often. Even Sacramento saying how after a defeat it feels like all the work from the previous week was gone - such a relatable feeling.

Levy Episode 7

“We have to have a highly competitive team“

“We have to play with style“

“We have to challenge in every competition that we’re in to the very best“

WE HAVE TO PLAY WITH STYLE - That one stood out for me. Anyone who knows anything more than what you can write on the back of a stamp knows that Jose has never ever ever sent out one of his teams to play with style

Efficiency is Jose’s philosophy. Never style. He could not give a flying fuck about style. Never had, never will

If Levy wants us to play with style he is most definitely not an intelligent **** for employing Jose

Wish I could be a fly on the wall of some of your houses when you’re watching the Winks bit, after today’s game :nailbiting::LOL:
Watched it now, he's just a nice boy exactly as I would've thought, not a good captain or much of a leader but didn't expect him to be, what is your point that he's too soft for us?

Remember when JJ (I think) said that there was a sense of delusion about how the window had gone in 2018, almost like everything would be okay.

You're starting to really see that delusion in these documentaries.

Levy's belief system is so out of touch with reality.

There's a rather depressing repeating cycle of people talking about how Mourinho has installed a winning mentality wherever he's gone - followed by yet more shots of us conceding goals and depressed changing rooms...

My god, the conversations beetwen Mou and Levy are so weird. It just seems like that Levy is waiting to agree with everything Mourinho says. Also the conversation beetwen Aurier,Moussa and Tanguy is so staged.

Yep, the first 1-2 Episodes i thought ok Levy and Jose are ok but now i've watched it all I think Levy is delusional and also far too involved in the football decisions exactly as I thought was the case which is exactly why we are always so disjointed as a squad and why we are not set-up to win on the pitch!

Jose is coming across more and more as a bit of an odd guy to be quite honest, could be to do with translation issues or something but some of his statements and team talks are just bizzare, the one at home to Leipzig his talk was basically don't touch your balls lol what does that even mean. I can also see him falling out with Geoff Scott and the medical guys, to me sure he comes across as a little bit ruthless and a winner but I can certainly see more and more the longer the episodes go on why players and people fall out with Jose.

The document started off positive but for me as much as they've tried to sanitize it I can see the reality which is our chairman has no clue about football and he is far too involved in the football side and decisions of the club and after watching yesterdays dross if you add up: Levy as an incompetent chairman + Jose's defensive tactics and focus on keeping a clean sheet rather than creating chances and winning games and a disjointed squad, with a head of recruitment who hates transfer windows and a board team about as inspiring as dishwater its all quite bloody depressing tbh but this is Spurs they always let you down.

Anyone else who's now watched it all agree or am I too negative?

Donna Cullen seems like an absolute piece of work lol.

Just one of the many yes men/women around Levy. Structure at the club seems so outdated. In this day and age, there needs to be a layer between Levy and the football side of things. Liverpool, City have it and many other clubs to. Find it weird when Rose is looking for Levy for a chat. The old player going to the chairman for a chat because he is unhappy is so yesteryear. Levy is far too thinly spread and probably down to his own doing. Can imagine him micromanaging and wanting control of everything.

Obviously it's not identical in terms of the role but Wenger was the same and that was why he eventually cast aside.

The problem is Levy won't be cast aside unless we have new owners of course.

Watching Ep 7 and Jose/Joao pull apart the Leizig and Chelsea loses, they're spot on and our players all look confused.

Glad we got to focus on the skywalk for a bit as I was worried people wouldn't know that existed.

At least in the last three episodes we got to see a bit more interpersonal tension, arguments and tactical insight even if it's still a bit of a soapy titwank on behalf of Danny boy

Could only watch 2 of the latest 3, had to stop. Watching the breakdown of our performances and Jose highlighting the need for aggression, pressing and desire and seeing that yesterday was too much for me.

Hats off to any who watched all three after yesterday.
