I usually go into every transfer window really optimistic only to be let down, this one I came in with such low expectations, I was thinking Hojbjerg, Aarons and Wilson would be the window we need but We've already done great business and now seeing the 5% (I've arbitrarily chosen 5% calm down) possibility of Bale and the idea it wouldn't affect our search for a striker. Fuck me I'm having a bath in salt to calm myself down.

If he comes back to Spurs over MU or others, you'd have to wonder whether there has been some very back room negotiating going on for some time and the key was to put RM on the defensive enough that the price would drop enough for him to return. Fingers crossed on one hand and the other holding a pinch of salt.
