Sure it got mentioned in the Diallo, Watkins and Milik thread multiple times but Freddie Kanoute is his agent too

Doubt we'd be negotiating with Salzburg if we thought we couldn't pay it . Also, ITK's alluding to positive talks too so *hopefully* we're aware of the cost and pressing ahead

I must have missed some thing as haven’t seen anywhere that we are even in negations with Salzburg for him!

All I’ve seen is a paragraph in Ally golds article that we are interested in Daka along with three maybe four other strikers. Also lot of people jumping to conclusions that the under the radar striker various ITK have been alluding to is this guy?

Given the amount of times it has been reported that we won’t be spending massive sums of money on a player this summer I would suggest people just take a deep breath and calm down until something more concrete is out there! dont get me wrong nice to dream etc but given Dakas price tag I would suggest it’s more than likely we won’t be signing him. Personally think we will end up with Diallo. Based on nothing but the feeling he will be one of the cheapest option out there.

Can imagine Red Bull will want an astronomical fee to stop them from transferring him between Salzburg & Leipzig in a year

How many people have actually seen him play a full 90 minutes?

Anyone?

I haven’t even watched the YouTube highlights reel. But he has a fun name, and when I was 12 that was basically the criteria I had for signing people on CM2. Zidane, Luis Quinnonez and Tommy Svindal Larsen made one hell of a midfield.

I've watched him in the CL v Liverpool, but that was a while ago so firing some selected match replays now. I have a sense of his general profile though: rapid, clinical, two-footed, positionally versatile

Herc last night said we were in talks with a 21yo and 25yo non English player. Said both had been spoken about on here.

General consensus was that those players were Daka and Diallo respectively.

Go back to Ally's report and look who the first two strikers mentioned are...

I do worry slightly, that having sold Haaland last January along with their other decent Korean striker this summer, they have no need to sell Daka and will ask for a pretty big fee.

Unless of course, they’ve scouted yet another gem for pennies, in which case maybe we should go for that player instead... ?

On the face of it, Diallo looks like a deal we could potentially have wrapped up pretty quickly if we wanted to. Does look like Daka is the one we want but a more difficult one to do. While Milik is an an option that is floating about if he doesn't get a move to Juve. Part of me thinks the stories doing the rounds today of him coming to us are more his agent trying to give Juve a nudge to hurry up and decide or risk losing him.

While it fits nicely with our reported interest in Daka and Diallo considering their ages and still might be true, what Herc said was “There are 2 certains (meaning talks) taking place with two non-English strikers, age between 21 & 25.”

So there’s a little more ambiguity there.

They actually do have a few. Okafor who they’ve just signed from Basel is electric. And they’ve got a Malian lad called Sekou Koita who I think is a superstar in waiting as well. Their scouting is honestly off the charts.

Ah okay - I was under the impression they were down to a couple of strikers, especially after the Haaland and Hee-Chan sales.

Szoboszlai has a 24m euro release clause, Haaland had a 20m. I would be surprised if Daka had mad release clause and not 'sensible'
