Kane is said to earn around £300k p/w including bonuses, his basic is £200k.

No idea what those bonuses are. CL obvs plays a part.

Maybe matching Kane’s terms with a big signing on fee could be in the realms of do-able, more so if we can shift someone.

Remember we were prepared to write down £12m for 2 years of Llorente on £100k p/w.

What is Bale worth to us by comparison as a guaranteed starter? What is possible CL and the commercial exposure worth?
I find it unfathomable that a club worth $1.6b thinks that a salary of 30m/yr is an unthinkable amount for a player of his caliber. This must be my American bias showing but Lebron James is going to be making several million more than that when he is 37 and in his 19th professional year. And Lebron isn't even the highest paid player in the NBA.

CS Lewis - "Twice in that life I have been given the choice. As a boy and as a man. The boy choose safety, the man chooses suffering. The pain now is part of the happiness then."

C'mon home.

And yet you keep coming back in and posting, deep down a part of your wants to click to the next page to see that we've signed him, I know it ;)

lol. I wish I could see the positives of signing him but I think it would be disastrous. Unfit, injury prone and insanely expensive. Not to mention his best years are beyond him.

So bored of the links. Don’t think I’ve ever seen an ex player linked back to their original ( ignoring Soton) club so frequently.

wait were did you get that valuation?

Our revenue was about 500m dollars, that will go down this season by a lot. Which is more than the LA lakers at 440m dollars. But we spend close to 200m on salaries, which is higher than the salary cap in the NBA

NBA teams just work very differently and salary differentiation is much higher, teams are much smaller and all that.

I said club value, not operating rev. Forbes places the club value at 1.6b
