Well the next World Cup, corrupt abomination that it is, will be in December/January
Yeah but that's only happening, as you say, first due to the corrupt decision and then the realisation of placing athletes' performance in 40-50 degree temperatures would be a huge error.

I think people will forget the Qatar world cup pretty quickly. WCs are always largely attached to the summer with bars being packed, people in the street etc

Besides I could think of a thousand reasons why changing the season schedule would be a bad idea.

Regular summer football would be awesome, but hard to make work - you still need a gap in the summer for the Euros/WC, and you need the league playing whenever there's European games to stay competitive. All I can think of is to have a 6-week summer break rather than 12ish between June and July, and a 6 week break in winter from the end of the festive games until mid-February. Basically scrapping English football in Jan and early Feb for games in mid-late May, late July and early August instead.

I think sometimes we forget though that although this is England, that time of year can still get very hot indeed. And that usually has a negative effect on domestic football imo.

Here's how the table can change in the final gameweek...

There's still a lot to play for at both ends.

Don't forget about the battle for 8th.

With mighty giants Sheff Utd, Burnley and Social Media FC

P.S I do realise we are only directly above this position and Sheff Utd and Burnley should be applauded for their seasons.

So a draw between Chelsea and Wolves along with a Leicester win sees Chelsea drop to fifth and us up to sixth if we do our job.

I'm OK with that or with a Leicester loss tbh. Long term denying Leicester the CL money hurts them a lot more than the other two.

Chelsea would still finish above Man U in that scenario.

How can anyone have trouble understanding that table, it's so straight forward lol

Shut up man - its a tough table to decipher - the equivalent of making a dish with every ingredient under the sun including coriander which is satans food

Just use cilantro instead.

That and cardamom seeds - thes ones hidden in rice when you get an Indian... you bite into it, you know you have and there is no going back... like stubbing your toe... that second or two between knowing what you did and feeling the effects of what you did
