Standard of refereeing in this country (& those that look at VAR decisions) is absolutely shocking.
Would be interesting if we could have a top level European referee making the VAR decisions & see if it made any difference

Can anyone explain the point of VAR? how is the application so inconsistent?!
One reason it's so shit in the PL is because the ref organisation is terrified of showing up our refs as making huge mistakes every game, which they do. They make a huge deal out of having the "best" refs in the world.

The excuse the PGMOL is going with is Taylor was finishing his paperwork on Evans’ first yellow. In the book, hes got 2 yellows. This is the most incompetent shit i’ve ever seen.

Can someone explain the point of VAR when it doesn’t correct clear and obvious errors, but overturns marginal decisions that are subjective either way.

It's ridiculous no lines went up there. Kane looked level to me with the pitch lines. I cannot believe that had a shit angle replay without checking it out

So impressed with this second half. Haven't created much ourselves but we are 3-0 up and again, we've limited a team to very few real chances.

Of course we need the goals to keep coming from game to game but seeing as we'd got them in the first half, it's really refreshing to see us just maintain shape and stay really solid defensively. It's a massive improvement when you consider where our defence was at one point.

The people looking at VAR decisions are the same refs that ref games. Some days they're on match duty, some days they're on VAR duty.

The VAR technology has shown once and for all how the refs in this country are not up to standard.

Maybe, for refs, knowing there is VAR diminishes their attention to some finer points?
