So discussions to move the Euro's to next year are to happen on Tuesday which potentially free's up the summer.

I wonder if that then leaves the door open to postpone Premier League games which could be a game changer for us in terms of getting our best players back.
I think they are going to have to suspend the league to try and protect it. If Arsenal need to suspend their next 2 games (likely) that’s a hell of a reshuffle which will affect the integrity of the league in itself. But with Leicester and Chelsea also reporting sick players it’s just too much interruption to be fair.

We got screwed over by lasagne gate before. Is it possible that corona gate will be our long awaited karma?

It makes sense imo, to suspend it until say June/July to reassess and to help clubs plan. Cancel the Euros, use that time to finish off the domestic and European seasons, then start the following season say a couple of weeks afterwards in early September say. The time between now and then effectively becomes pre-season. With the transfer window you can then say any signings can only play at the start of the following season.

Or just move the transfer window as well.

Doesn’t sound realistic to me. The government have said the peak won’t be till May/June. It might not be acceptable to play till July with 9 PL games to play plus european games. It just doesn’t sound feasible. What happens with transfer window, what do players do for 3 months. The simpler solution is definitely to cancel the season.

Ziyech will be 27 before he joins Chelsea. We cant afford to spend that kind of money without the resale value and potential profit we got with Bergwijn.
Yea probably true :( but he’s an absoloute baller. They buy ziyech and Pulisic. We buy Bergweign and Jack Clarke/Sessengon lol. We are not quite there yet are we.

But unfortunately this is the chairman's philosophy of buying young, potential talent with the hope on a bigger payday when their sold off.
Again the policy is very hit and miss as we have seen with some of the shit bought previously, Chelsea on the other hand are not worried but they are buying player's to get them back amongst it straight away not like our they might make it in five years time one.

We bought Ndombele and Lo Celso.

Lets try and compare as close to the players skill level as we can!

The 60,000 capacity stadium should make precisely this kind of thing possible. It's the reason why we built the bloody thing if you believe what we've been told. As of now, we're still buying potential at one end while our proven quality players are being put out to pasture at the other. We'll never see the finished article at this rate.

As a club we always seem to fall short somewhere we never get it right doubt we will ever be the finished article.
Those minutes from the trust meeting are a great concern with levy saying that there is no evidence that spending money brings success.
I agree with him that no club has a divine right to anything but I would like to see something along the lines of we are aiming to win top prizes, instead we got a vague statement about we remain ambitious I mean really.
There appears to be a real clinical soulless atmosphere attached to levy/enic that fills me with little hope whilst they remain in charge.

That's actually probably the most complicated one, clubs are not going to accept that. There's too much money at stake for promotion, relegation and European spots. Imagine telling Sheffield United all of their good work this season counts for nothing, Liverpool that they haven't won the title or Leeds/West Brom that sorry, you're not coming up to the Prem. The same issues occur if you finish the league with current standings.

Or... we played against Ziyech twice, we are scoutinng Eredivisie and bought winger from same League. Maybe we weren't interested in him for various reasons like many elite clubs??

I always thought we were in some ways cursed........lasagnegate, Martin Fulop, Chelsea fluking a champions league win etc etc etc etc. But if the season is cancelled and Liverpool don’t win the league, they will be the most cursed team ever

They'll just have to cancel the season and the clubs will have to be adult about it I'm afraid. It is people's lives we are talking about here. Much more important than kicking a ball about on a bit of grass never mind how much money is involved. (Yes, I know the world doesn't work like that).

Yea true mate but if you compare the same positions we are way off. We can’t just strengthen one area but not others.
That's why time is needed for whoever is the head coach/manager - these things can't all be fixed at once. (this will take people all the way back to the lack of investment two years ago .... It's a circle)

If the Euros are moved to 2021 there's no reason the current season can't be finished though.

Well if it's any consolation, one thing that will definitely grab the attention of ENIC, Levy and Joe Lewis will be tumbling share prices and a huge loss of revenue from EPL prize money and European football. Pochettino did a quite remarkable job maintaining all of those things through a period of minimal investment and neglect of his team, and I think Levy in paticular expected to carry on getting away with it when most sane people knew it would end in tears. I'm just hoping he doesn't tell us that 'lessons have been learned'.
