I think Skipp's ceiling is a lot higher than Winks'.

He's better defensively - both reads the game better and is more tenacious and good in the tackle - but is also braver and more direct with his passes going forward.

I know it's just Norwich, but simply having a tenacious hard worker covering the space and putting in tackles is making a big difference. I hope this match is his breakthrough under Jose.

(and no this isn't kneejerk - he was easily our best player in preseason and he was also good last season when he felt confident)
He's done very well. My reservation is how he gets on against physical midfields. But I certainly prefer him to Dier and Ndombele in that role. If Winks can't become more aggressive more consistent then Skipp will certainly be a better option.

Why are the BBC pundits going on about a game that we've chosen not to watch? Talk about the one we've tuned in to.

He works hard but constantly bumbles and gives the ball away like all our front 3. Rather than flick the ball bloody just control it and play it off. Every flick basically goes to Norwich.
Ah, all those flicks ... Sure thing.

I would keep winks and Skipp on, give them as much game time to get a partnership working and give them the rest of the season.

Ndombele can come in when needed (if he can)

Glad Verts got the goal.

When we have the ball we have looked better with it most of the time

I actually think Alli has done alright. There have been a couple of moments where he was horribly indecisive with the ball and lost it too easily, which I am assuming is what is sticking in people's minds, but he has made about a 1000 runs in that half to try and occupy defenders and open space for others and there have been four or five occasions where his team mates have completely failed to spot putting him in and having a very decent attacking situation. He has also done some decent back to goal work at times in holding it up and linking play.

It's been a passable job as a No.9 so far, which is what we are looking for.

Blasphemous posts round these parts mate, people will treat this post like Coronavirus

The co-commentator is a joke - literally everything he’s said apart from two comment on Gio has been negative. The way he talks about our play and the club in general you’d think we were in the relegation zone and 3-0 down in the game.

It's fucking weird. You kind of assume a bit of cherleading for the underdog if a premier League team is playing a lower division club but Norwich ?

It's like they are watching a league 2 side putting us under the cosh.

I can't blame Alli for seeming invisible today, he has gotten zero help from anyone else/the only way he is getting a pass to him is when he tracks all the way back and he is the first outlet. Bergwijn/Moura have been ok, Lo Celso having another great game, Dier actually looking pretty good
