Cant blame him! Given how far the club has regressed to being a box standard mid table team now and the news from Jose yesterday that it’s unlikely we are going to have a rebuild in the summer we all can see is clearly needed it just shows the lack of ambition from Daniel Levy And a Enic!

It’s just Matt law being bored it’s literally pure supposition. He doesn’t even mention a source let alone quote one. It’s almost impossible to see a sale with 4 years left because nobody would even come close to Kane valuation. Big clubs will view Kane as a risk hes 27 with a very dodgy injury history. The most I could see someone offering is £100m Levy would want £200m at least. It’s never happening. But tbh if someone did offer £200m we should seriously think about it. Let’s be honest it’s not like other teams haven’t won stuff without Harry Kane in their team lol.

I would not be surprised if Kane was thinking about his position, nor would I blame him. The club would also be foolish not to be thinking and planning for Kane potentially not to be here in 1/2 years time also thinking of his age. Thats why we should be looking for another striker of sufficient quality to compete with and rotate with Kane, not just someone for the bench.

The club should also be succession planning for Son over the next few years too. Otherwise we’ll end up with our forward line all getting on at the same time like our defence.

Well it’s a good job we’re so good at this sort of thing :cautious:.

Harry may well go at some point soon. The club, everyone would agree has gone backwards over the last 2 years and not forwards. I won’t resent him for one moment if he does go.

But this is Matt Law a chelsea fan, who has a history of being full of shit. The article isn’t sourced, there is not one credible lead in it. Just Matt Law sitting in his kitchen surmising that Harry might be thinking of leaving.

If that guy told me today was Wednesday and my name was Dov i’d Want to check.

Kane is the only thing we have going for us at the moment that and the cash cow that is the stadium.

I would never ever trust us to spend 200m wisely. We would really piss it up the wall.

Kane would be impossible to replace. It really is a double edged sword - no striker wants to join because Kane is Kane yet when Kane leaves no one will join because well... its a sign of lack of ambition that we sold our best striker/player.

Anyways im not going to worry about it because im not worried - One more year then will be worried and concerned next summer as that is when he will leave

To be fair a big reason why we’ve been in a shit show for the past 2 seasons is because Kane has either been injured or playing his way back into fitness to recover from injury. Don’t get me wrong, I adore Harry as much as the next spurs fan and would be devastated to see him leave but having glass ankles and a sewn up hamstring may see Kane never reach the heights of previous years again. A good business man knows when is the optimum time to sell an asset.

That being said, please don’t leave Harry!!

Can’t say I’m shocked, but reading the article they have covered every base possible

Law wrote virtually an identical article when Mourinho joined. In fact I’m certain he writes a Kane is leaving article every season. I think we can all make our own conclusions as to how likely he is that he’s correct.

Edit: I see @SargeantMeatCurtains has said the same thing on the previous page but in better detail than me. It’s utter drivel, as for those saying we should sell, have you been awake for the last decade and us buying strikers!?!? It would be a disaster if he left us.

Oh come on .There seems to be an extremely pessimistic theme here that no matter how much money we have we can only buy terrible players . The Prem seems full of good strikers , many in 'smaller' clubs .It is entirely probable we'll get someone decent if we have the money.

I like a bit of pessimism myself too, but really..

Of course he wil and probably should leave at some point.

But as someone said earlier, the last few season he has been a part of the reason we havent gone on to win things, dip in form injuries (which of course arent his fault). He has had the chances to win things here and semi's especially has been one of the players not to turn up when needed.

The "needs to leave to win things" narrative is a load of bollox. he could have done it here

Strikers is one area where we have a horrible record though.

When was the last decent striker we bought?

Adebayor, Defoe?

I’ll be amazed if Harry leaves before summer 22 (if at all) and if he did, it would be for a huge fee at 29 years old having given us unbelievable service.

Also:

OPINION!
If you really believe the club will let H go in the summer because of gutter tripe journo, then I believe pigs can fly
