Where to start on this? So many years of plodding along to the Lane for the game, rarely do I go for the experience. The game today was secondary. Would still have loved to beat them yet it wouldn’t have topped the rest of the day. Bringing my 4 year old daughter to the Lane for the first time was emotional, enjoyable and most importantly for an old moaning bastard like me, fun. We got the stickers, face-painting, flags, trip to the shop, saw the mascots (she’s obsessed with Lily Lane, great move inventing her...), appeared on the big screen, met players after for pics and just when we were leaving even had a quick word with @Allygold (now if that doesn’t top off the day nothing will ). She screamed ‘come on you Spurs’ throughout the game and is looking forward to going back again and bringing her little sister. Her mum’s going to love all the free afternoons she’s going to be having soon. Cheap as chips. We got chips too, which were actually a little more expensive. A day I will truly remember for the rest of my life. Brought back so many memories of my first trip in ‘86. With all the misery Spurs have brought me since, today they gave me something special. And Isabelle too.
Great video on facebook, I was laughing at her Irish \English accent. I remembered when my kids had there mums Northern Irish accent.
