I hope he realises the standard he has set himself now, not only scoring against City but the technique and ability was incredible. So refreshing seeing a new signing play too, literally days after signing him.

This Poch didn't play new players bollocks is getting boring now. Why don't you just celebrate his good performance and leave it there.

People are just pointing out the contrast in approach, which is pretty damn stark.
Stop being so sensitive.

Great but he is unlikely to score another goal like that in his time here.
It is like Rose's screamer against the goons. Or Dier's zig-zag run and finish against West Ham.
He will find it hard to better that one.

Oh :( I thought that was going to be the start of a great career at Spurs. That's upset me now. How long until we can get rid of him?

Bit harsh, the came into Rose's area & he just hit it. Bergwijn showed control & composure to get his shot on target, so if he shows this level of skill more often than not I'm sure there will be many good goals to come.

Calm yourselves.
It was his first game and we shouldn't be writing him off if he'd had a stinker.
Likewise we shouldn't be raising the expectation levels sky high just because he scored a very special goal.
The first games for a club are just not normal. I gave my working out.
He is certainly interesting and we shall see.

Nobody thinks we don't need a striker because a winger we bought scored a great goal on his debut. He literally played his first game, had a *great* game and scored a goal and all you can say is "he is unlikely to score another goal like that in his time here". You sound like you're just desperate to find negatives.

He's not alone on this site unfortunately. Far to many who look for the bad in any situation in stead of looking for the potential benefit.

Definitely. The prick even went off injured. We should cut our losses and sell immediately
