I know compilations are meant to make the player look amazing and this one certainly does a good job of that. It's pretty much 10 minutes of Soumare winning the ball back, intercepting passes and keeping possession while being pressed and breaking through the lines. I have no doubts he can thrive as a DM for us.

looks amazing. Go all in. I’m sold

Like the look of him in that. A lot better defensively than I imagined, but most of all he looks quick and decisive.

Looked decent in that video but just because he can tackle doesn’t mean he’ll be a good DM in the PL. A lot of it is down to positioning and tactical awareness. My best guess if he came he’d replace Sissoko’s position and become more of a box to box midfielder and help drive us up the pitch.

Him and TND would be amazing together.

Not a bad place to start though.

Looks good in the vid and has a lot of the qualities that we're lacking in that position: speed, tenacity and tackling ability. He also looks fairly handy going forward, kinda like a less erratic Sissoko with better passing. Obviously all Youtube montages need to be taken with a pinch of salt, but given the shitshow of our current DMs I'd take him in a heartbeat.

I wondered if Youtube montages would make Sissoko look like some kind of defensive maestro, but turns out he comes across exactly how you'd expect. All his best defensive highlights are him making last ditch slide tackles and muscling people off the ball by the corner flag - very little in the way of interceptions or good positioning/reading of the game. It's also funny how during so many of his lung busting runs forward - which is obviously his best quality - the ball is barely under control and ricochets off other players along the way. Soumare's runs might not be as eye catching but they're certainly less wild and random.

It'll be a 'we tried' before recalling Amos to CDM.
And this is it, isn’t it? If Levy and the club are serious about backing Mourinho, they’ll act decisively and quickly. If we start to hear the usual bollocks about ‘we tried’ but our efforts were somehow scuppered then we know we’re fucked for much more than a season

Is this after this seasons saviour Skipp has finally lived up to the same hype that KWP showed? Saviours, they're all saviours.

We should have gotten Grealish and Barkley, this wouldn't be happening, we'd have won the league by now.

Hopefully the Campos/Sacramento/Mourinho trinity gives us an edge. If Mourinho wants him, we need to go and get him. If we want to rebuild for next season, it needs to start now with first XI players this window.
Campos is at Lille still. He is not a Tottenham employee. He will do what is right for Lille.

You're right, I'm probably getting a little bit carried away. Just alluding to ITK previously saying he was 'referring targets' and being lined up for a role at some point.

I reckon he will go for about 35-40 mill. Ndombele was quoted at Pogba prices and then came out much cheaper and I think he will too.

We aren’t paying £50 million that’s for sure
We paid that much for Ndombele and Lo Celso, so I don't see why we couldn't pay that much to round out a first-choice CM3. We've left the DM position to languish despite it being obvious for years now that our options aren't remotely on the same level as our rivals' and it's unlikely to be a cheap fix.

I don't know whether the club rate Soumare as being worth as much as Ndombele and Lo Celso who were more well-established at the time we bought them, but with Sacramento on the staff we'll have a very clear idea of what his potential is.
