totally agree with this post.

fernandes looks a good player, but surely we’ve got that type of player in the squad? I suppose with outgoings it could work (as others have alluded to).

if there’s money though, there are surely other priorities.

I do wonder whether he’ll really take to GLC and Sess

Not sure where all this concern is coming from regarding Lo Celso and Sessengon - we're one game in with Mourinho. Let's see how many games they play before January.

I reckon Mourinho will see Lo Celso as great competition for the number 10 role and an inside forward. Can see Sessengon having the Aurier role on the left, while potentially playing Foyth in the Davies role at right back.

Which brings me to Fernandes. He'd be a like-for-like Eriksen replacement, but since it looks like Dele will be Mourinho's number 10, where does he fit in? All good having lots of options, but seems like a lot. I reckon we'll look to offload Lamela in the summer, not because he isn't a good player, but he's just too injury prone.

Next season we could have:

ST: Kane, Parrott
LW: Son, Fernandes
RW: Lucas, Lo Celso
AM: Dele, Lo Celso, Fernandes
CM: Ndombele, Winks
DM: Dier, *NEW*
LB: Sessengon, Davies
CB: Alderweireld, Sanchez, Foyth, Vertonghen or *NEW*
RB: Aurier, *NEW*
GK: Lloris or *NEW* , Gaza

If you're after a left footed WF/IF who can play on the right then my choice would be Tsygankov. Don't think he'd cost a huge fee and has a very high ceiling, but already good enough to come in as a first team player now.

Consonant monster. Posters on here struggle with Eriksen, can you imagine them trying to nail Viktor Tsygankov? Will be carnage.

I suppose Fernandes might be one of those opportunistic signings. He can play pretty much everywhere and has a good all round game, along with being a prolific goalscorer from midfield. There aren't too many players like that around so if Jose really rates him it might be wise to snap him up while he's available. Jose has always liked to have a few Portuguese players too, so he might also see him as a useful ally in the dressing room.

As for Dias, I've never seen him play but apparently Benfica want to hang onto him for a few years and build the team around him (though I suspect they say this about every upcoming player so who knows?). Also Mendes might not want to create friction at a club he has strong connections to by flogging their prize asset. That said, his buyout clause is still at around £60 million, so if we want him we may aswell push now before it goes up to £80 million +.

Would be a fucking mental if Levy dropped £90 million in Jan. He'd get absolutely lynched after being so tight with Poch (though I suspect Poch partly brought that on himself).

and we also need a RB, the peirera links revolved when mourinho took over, and that's another £60m...

I think Leicester are going to have the same approach that we do to holding onto their best players. They'll be asking for such silly money (see Maguire) that it won't even be worth trying for the likes of Pereira and Chilwell.

To say that you must be able to think of big deals where Mendes helped to get good value for the buying club.,.
Wolves seem to be doing alright, not to mention he’s brought players to Chelsea and Madrid for Mourinho and worked out pretty well.

You underestimate people on here, they'll have no problem with Віктор Циганков

So a bit of 1+1 with Liverpool and the club just stating that they will fight to keep him.

That's kind of difficult because normally Mendes is transferring players to the richest clubs in the world.

But Ruben Neves to Wolves for 16m springs to mind.

This is the same source that came out with our interest over the summer. Supposedly reliable with all things regarding Algerian players.

Found their report from the summer:

Final note, Nice currently sit 15th in the Ligue 1 table if that matters.

I doubted Atal when we appointed Mourinho. But with that shape at the weekend, pairs of Foyth/Atal and Davies/Sessegnon would work brilliantly.
