Tbh I was looking for a funny Sherwood pic to respond to someone asking who could come in on short notice. In my search I ended up on reddit and was given a heart attack by someone posting the old tweet as breaking news. In rushing to post it here to say how I was about to joke about it and it came true, I checked the date at the last second.
So I was almost fooled by it myself.

I know it's naive but people are talking about Levy's budget. Is it inconceivable that he's just been a tightwad during the preparation for and construction of the stadium and now the purse-strings will loosen somewhat? For most of his stewardship we've only known penny-pinching but that was a means to an end and now we might see a more competitive approach. Of course, we might not, but we might. We've already seen wages go up far and above the old wage-structure.

This was only 5 months ago. I understand why but I’m still gutted. Best thing to happen to us since Burkinshaw. Fucking legend. Hope he goes on to become very successful abroad. I can never not watch this when it comes up on my timeline, though I don’t think I’d seen this particular footage.
