But they got us there and spent £100m plus in the summer

I honestly think in the modern game any manager has got a maximum five years.

Do I love a Poch ? Damn right I do - a part of me will always love what he has done and espionage when we needed it during stadium construction.

But do I feel sorry ? No - the bloke is paid £8.5m for results - I will feel sorry for our nurses that break their back on 40 hour weeks for £30k a year. Poch knows the game
Mate we were playing catch up from the season before, have half a squad that don’t want to be here and again this season’s new signings are only starting to be used now, we’re in quite a mess right now and Poch is only part of the problem, getting rid is not the magic solution, time will tell...

JJ been giving his opinion on twitter last 24 hours, not sure if posted but here you go:

StevieD wrote this in response to this: https://t.co/wbpMKoYff5?amp=1 AG article:

I agree with so much here. What your piece does point too for me is the problems brought upon by Levy. He's been amazing for Spurs but I hope he recognises how hamstrung Poch has been. Poch isn't blameless but it is nowhere near a level of blame that should put his job at risk.

To which JJ responded:
The original JJetset
@jetsetyid

Absolutely this !!! -

The Dan Cole posted:
I love Poch but sadly it’s time for him to go........ this club has slowly gone backwards the moment we convinced ourselves we could become the first team in Europe not to strengthen our squad for 18 months. We f*cked the “project” & have declined ever since

To which JJ responded:
The original JJetset
Normally I don’t reply however Not football but business When a normal project fails due to changing scope/time overrun or lack of funds why do the exec fire the PM & bring in a new one & it fails again ? The PM is just steering the project & not the real reason for the failure! -

Another posted posted this:
DJ THFC
not asking you to explain the situation this is just football talk but please Poch has not changed anything tactically since our awful slum (10 months) how is this on anyone else?

And JJ replied:
The original JJetset

@jetsetyid

Replying to
@danieljohn4
Some of the current squad players are shot -

This finally JJ Replied to Dan Cole who asked what the plan was going forward with this:
Hope that the players we tried to offload in the summer get offloaded in Jan, hope that the new players start more regularly adapt quickly & play more & bring in new faces in Jan.Also hope we go on a run which adds to the lads confidence as we can’t change our style currently -

Does not bode well. I cannot just sit back and enjoy this dross. ENIC is all about corporate, and less about the football. So much of the corporate suites empty, and much more. Poch should of left in the summer with how he felt, but he didn’t. I would of. Joe Lewis and Daniel Levy too friggin stubborn.

They rather puppets as managers who will play the violin they are given. We are more than likely to loose major, major assets in the summer. They will take in all the cash, and spend piss all in comparison. Our ‘almost there’ days will flicker into the corridors of time. Ten more years will pass with fak all to show for it, but a training complex and stadium.

sadly it is more reality than I can even fathom to have nightmares about. Poch’s fall was his moods and loosing the plot all over the place. Very difficult to get the players back on his side. I sense more backroom staff in important departments of the club will seek pastures new. The asset stripping will gleefully please ENIC, as this will of nullified the stadium debts.

so in conclusion we are damned. And I wish Poch could perform a Lazarus, and awaken us. I would be among the first to applaud him. But in all honesty it is beyond repair now. What a mess. And the ones I feel really sorry for is us tgr fans.

I think Poch has been found out for his tactical and managerial limitations. When the players don’t have the legs to play his intensity of football, he has no plan B to use with them, but equally hasn’t had the foresight to start the refresh ahead of the collapse. So whereas he could have added two or three young players each season, ready to come in and step up after a settling in period.
This now means we need a new RB, LB, at least one if not two CB’s, a DM and arguably another attacking player. That’s a big overhaul.
If 18 months ago we’d added a CB when Toby first looked unlike signing a new deal, plus a LB when Rose first started deteriorating physically, and a DM when Wanyama got injured, we’d be facing significantly less of a rebuild now.
Crikey that's how we used to play. What I'd give now for a performance like that. Hun

Must be something to do with JJ not allowing people who don't follow to view. That's why I added the text anyway.

Steering the ship, projects ffs.

He's the manager and we've produced turgid football for the last 9 months.

That's the main point.And he hasn't got the best out of this current group of players, nowhere near it.

My question would be if you feel like that is the case regarding ENIC then why have you for the past few weeks felt that Poch's time is up or at the very least been highly critical of him? Surely if what you're saying about ENIC is the case then getting a new manager will not make a bit of difference because they will have to suffer the same situation. Poch as you say has been moody and and losing the plot but despite all of this has is battling on so when it comes to ENIC wanting a manager who will play the violin they're given then surely Poch is the best bet because he's proven time and time again that he's willing to eat shit and like the taste of it from those above him.

I know Poch has made a rod for his own back with some of his choices but from what you're saying he's having to work under extremely difficult circumstances and I'd think that if that is the case then surely he deserves some benefit of the doubt no? And as I say I don't see how a new manager fixes that situation if the problem is above.

Our squad is still good enough to win things. The perception that we’re finished is symptomatic of just how poorly coached and managed they’ve been.

This is probably the most depressing ITK I have seen in my time here. Guessed that explains why Levy and the management don't seem that concern with the poor results at all with Poch given so much time and space??

Surely the most important question we should be looking at isn't whether Poch should be given more time.. Or that he is the right man to do the rebuild.. It must be this, How are we going to rebuild in January or the summer performing how we currently are before going on to lose some of our recent best players? Who in January or the Summer is seriously going to look at us and think this is the club for me?! Honestly I don't believe relegation is a realistic ending in all fairness however finishing 9th to 14th quite possibly is on this run of form. We won't attract the players of anywhere near the quality we would need.

I think it's unfair to say Poch doesn't care but it does explain why he is being given so much time.

I am sharing my heart that bleeds for this club. They don’t give a toss like we do. I wouldn’t call it ITK. I call it my well founded emotional and passionate opinion.

Should have.
I would of
Would have.

have.

If what you say is true then why did ENIC spend over £100m last summer?

I agree; next season if it goes on like this will see assets stripped. And going back to the days of Graham and Hoddle where we bought journeyman and over the hill players. We nearly had this season with AVB when we signed Dempsey and Siggy; but Bale saved us. Looking forward to getting the likes of relegated players from terrible teams and signing Lallana on a free.
