I actually can’t believe 55% of people want him to stay.

I love a bit of deluded, misplaced and baseless optimism but fuck me.

Our last three league finishes have been 2nd, 3rd and 4th.

This season, I imagine 5th or below as things stand.

He had a two year honeymoon period when he joined the club and the steady decline has been happening ever since, with the last 12 months being complete and utter dross.

Any notion that he’s the man to turn this around is a delusion you’ve come up with yourself because there is zero evidence to back it.

Quite. Genuinely it seems most of our fans are completely deluded. It's clear as fucking day he's done here at spurs, we've been pony for ages now. This started at the beginning of last season and it's been getting worse and worse.

I can pick out any number of games in the last year to show how tactically poor we were. We shoud have got thrashed at City, we did get thrashed tonight. It's been coming. His formation, selections, his hard on for Winks at the base of a diamond, it's completely unacceptable.

The regression in performances from pretty much every player in the squad. I can't believe after losing like we did tonight, people still think he is the man to take us forward, utterly deluded.

I can't believe almost 50% want him to go. Yes, he's persisted with this diamond nonsense for quite some time without success, and yes, his media comments have been unhelpful. But Levy has to take responsibility for not shifting players that should have been shifted. And the players have to take responsibility too. However bad you think our tactics were tonight, we were not getting battered until players switched off.

Oh please. We were completely set up wrong from the start, Gnabry was in on goal in the first 90 seconds.

How on earth can you blame the decline over the last 12 months and performances like City away and tonight, on Levy not shifting unwanted players. That's mental. Levy's ownership is a seperate issue, but Poch's management failings are the bigger issue right now. We have a squad and team that should be doing much better than it has been for the last 12 months.

I want him to stay as long as we never, ever see a fucking 4312 diamond again. I want us to go back to the good old 4231.
There is nothing wrong with the 4312 but you need a DM like Dier to be in the 3 and cover whilst the full back have to be given clear instructions to attack the wings/space constantly

It's funny, we had a whole season last year of hearing the World Cup tired out the squas as an excuse for our shit performances. It's got even worse since then, what's the excuse this time? It seems it's never Poch's fault to some on here.

The nearly man who has never been quite good enough.

For me the credit in the bank is starting to go into overdraft. We have been poor for a seriously long period masked by the CL run. Poch looks to be struggling tactically, seems unable to get the team pulling together and we don’t at any level look like a team with a style of play anymore. As a coach his game management has not evolved and he appears too stubborn to admit it. The team needs some surgery and I don’t have confidence Poch is the man to do it. Out for me.

Playing a diamond with Winks at the base of it will prove his downfall.
There are absolutely no excuses for conceding 7 to any team, but this sort of score line has been coming, if Man City had their shooting boots on would have happened earlier this season.
I think lose on Saturday he will be gone, it will be International break and that is when clubs tend to react, when they have more time to find the replacement.

I think we are in a worse place now than when he took over, and our Best team in a generation is breaking up with no trophies to show for it, which is criminal.

Don’t want him gone, but actually think he is too stubborn to change away from the diamond, has taken his eye off the ball with the defence, and it probably would be best for the club if a new man came in.

It's funny. We demand loyalty from players but when it is our turn to be loyal we just chuck them under the bus.

I voted go, but I’ve calmed down slightly after the initial shock of that result. However...

He needs to know his place and realise how fortunate he is to be the manager of this football club. We gave him the chance to manage a big club when he was Southampton manager and had barely anything to celebrate on his CV. Granted he’s been fantastic for us but he’s attitude and general demeanor for well over a year now is disrespectful and inappropriate.

Time and time again he’s thrown the club under the bus in press conferences and he’s threatened to leave. Even before the biggest game in his and our history.

Aside from that, there are genuine flaws to his management and they will be under the microscope now like never before so far in his career. He needs to realise now that the diamond will not work. He also needs to improve his in game management because he’s genuinely one of the worst in the league at making substitutions when meaningful changes are needed.

Poch has a lot of rebuilding to do and that is with the fans, not just the squad.

This. We actually have the squad for this system.
Sure, as long as neither of winks or Sissoko start every match in there. Has to be Dier and Ndombele as first choice until we buy a properly good DM (hopefully in Jan!!). And tbf, I'd be looking at a 3 with those two and lo Celso when he's fit. 4-3-3 with Lucas, son and Kane up top. Can change the formation fairly easily given Alli, Lamela and lo Celso are flexible enough across the attacking roles.

He ihas now been backed in to favourite to be next PL manager to be sacked, and as that list includes Marco Silva, Steve Bruce and Solskjaer, shows the predicament we are in.

This is a bad spell - and lack of fight or cop on in last 10 mins tonight was shocking - but these bad spells happen in football. If you have a good manager, as we do, you stick with him and give him time to sort it out - that’s what Fergie always got at Man U and it’s what Poch deserves from us.

People have very short memories, towards the end of February we were only 5 points off Pool. Then the CL happened, if we don't have that run to the final we finish 3rd and a lot closer to City and Pool. Poch deserves the time to turn this around.

Football can be sweet and brutal...I guess many will be saying Poch out and may be we might have to bite the bullet. Personally I'm all in for Poch staying he clearly needs backing from Levy to build another team. Players need to be moved on load out side lined.

Out:
Vertonghen
Toby
Aurier
Wanyama
Eriksen
Rose

I would think about Lloris to.
You sir are the winner and deserve a ?! How people can't see this is beyond me. I made a post while back about the above era being over and it was solidified for me tonight.

Poch warned everyone for the last 1.5yrs. I'm still behind Poch and the guys that want to be at Tottenham.

Stay. It isnt his fault. It’s Levy’s.

But Poch, Kane, Son, etc will all go within a few years to win trophies because the chairman has no such ambition. Sad but that is the case. We need new ownership. Too bad no one will admit that.
How the fuck does Poch not take some if not all the blame? I fucking tired of your bad mouthing off about Levy. The 2-7 defeat was down to Poch and the players on the night. If Levy was to bring Messi in, Poch would still need to know how to be tactical aware and to manage games, where he is inept at times. Harsh but true. To say that Levy has no ambition is border line stupidity and ignorant. For the record I voted for Poch to stay.

He needs to go just because he couldn't tell you his best 11 right now. And he reportedly got the players he wanted this past summer yet there's no best 11. I get people say oh it's a squad game nowadays. I get that but it's not the case. You need the best 11 on the pitch to win things. We won't ever win anything with him in charge, so what is the point of keeping him. We may as well rebuild with a new manager.

Yes you need a squad for options/injuries and some rotation at times but you need to prioritize having your strongest/best 11 available for the big games. That's where we fail now and his constant tinkering with teams and formations etc is just making things worse.

We needed to buy players that fit the system we play and not just buying the best available players we can get because then we end up with the mess of a midfield we have right now and then the right back situation.

In, but it needs to improve quickly. That applies to selection, tactics, attitudes and contract situations - everything, basically. It's very AVB at the moment.

Can't do much about the personnel until January but there needs to be improvement at full back, both sides. If you don't add to the squad for so long then have to go through such a big refresh there will be bad results and upset players but it needs to happen. They've gone from a young side with a few experienced players to an experienced side with a few younger ones.

Perhaps there will be more painful results to come while this plays out... Poch also needs to show he's still the right man for the job.

We shouldn't be running out of steam at 30 mins ffs.
We played well til they got their second, went in at half time, Poch worked his motivational and tactical magic, then we capitulated.

The problem is that we all know what's wrong but Poch doesn't, or at least, doesn't want to. That leads me to the conclusion that he can't, or won't be able to, fix it.

What’s wrong?
