He’s not good enough for us but fuck me how can you guys not see that he and rose were left hugely exposed. We played such a high line with fuck all protection in front of them, it’s suicidal against a team with pace and quality of bayern.
He was also way out of position and show fuck all intent in getting back he gave up last 20 mins, which is totally disrespectful

Yes he was exposed. So was Rose. How many goals cam from Rose's flank how many from Aurier. He was out of position a lot, went to ground way to quickly, rather than delaying or blocking his marker, and for the 5th goal was both out of position and decided to literally jog in response to the run rather than, say, trying to delay or block him. OK maybe neither were possible, but for heavens sake, try.

He was exposed, but it was still one of the worst performances I've ever seen, and I'm not one who is quick to get on players backs. It's up there with Gilberto vs PSV (who did, in fairness try, he just had a shocker).

The formation didn't help and for me our CB were also atrocious quick enough to cover.

Aurier didnt do too well today but Gnabry was on fire particularly int he second. They targeted our left int he first and in the second they hit us on the right.

Terrible. I know it wasn’t intentional, but could have easily been sent off for that incident with Alaba. Don’t know what he was thinking.

Absolutely roasted by Gnabry in that second half. Truly woeful.

Good point - a strong chance he could have been sent off. After Saturday. He is awful.

He was shit. He wasn’t helped. But unfortunately, he’s still our best RB... I stand by that statement due to our lack of purchases, not down to his talent.

Aurier will get roasted ( formation did help) but seriously i'm petrified with our CB slow labouring poor positioning.

Its time to make Sanchez first choice.

We seem to be underestimating Gnabry. Not many defenders can deal with him at the moment

The formation didn't help I agree. I think what annoys me is the attitude in coming back for the 5th goal, rather than the mistakes per say. But it's not a one off.

Aurier has been positionally very poor for a long time now, something people forgive him because most people kind of forget about positioning (same happened with Smith fans when he was in the youth team, though he has developed well). But also there are many times now where a lack of care, focus and good judgment has cost him, and by his previous comments (both here and in France) I just get the feeling that the team comes second to him, or he has a complete lack of judgment. In either case he has consistently failed to truly show that he has turned a corner.
