Does this sound like a man who isn’t all in here? Sorry, SC

But don't be sorry. No one wants him to go, we all want him to turn it around. I love the bloke, he's given us some great memories. What we he can turn it around however remains to be seen as this has been going on for too long

Jose = Trophies
Jose = anti-football

You pays your money, you take your choice

He doesn’t ALWAYS play anti football though.

I remember a period during his first spell at Chelsea where he had Duff and Robben flying in wings and they were playing some beautiful stuff.

Still don’t want him here though lol.

We're not beggars though.
In the context of trophies, we're fucking skint mate.

And I dont think anyones suggesting they're the only options, I think they signify the two paths that we might have to take.
There was someone the other day who turned his nose up at Allegri because of his style of football.
This place is batshit mental.

Amazing to see some people not want Managers with trophies coming out of their ears, for a manager who can't even win a league cup with a very strong set of players.

True, but in the footballing world we're a pretty big deal - a premier league team with one of the best stadiums in the world. I doubt we'd have much trouble attracting a very good manager.

He inherited that side. They did play some decent stuff despite Jose. Probably the most efficient side I’ve ever seen

Don’t get me wrong he’s a brilliant manager but couldn’t wait to destroy Joe Coles natural ability and turn him into an efficient part of the machine

I dont think we would, but I very much doubt Jose is short of offers.
People keep labelling him a busted flush, in his last two clubs he won them both 2 trophies each.

If he wanted the job, we'd be daft not to seriously consider it, get him in for a couple of years and give the fans something to really cheer about.

I agree. He's not my first choice for reason's already mentioned, but if he were to join he'd probably help us to win something.

I do.

You lot might be happy watching another 12 months of soul-crushing dross because for some reason you believe he can turn it around. Which is fair enough. But I'm not.

It is possible to simply believe Jose Mourinho is a bad fit for Tottenham Hotspur, given the obvious operational differences between him and the club. And believe that although Mourinho is clearly a fantastic manager, the circumstances he would find at Tottenham would not fit his team building style at all.
Thats DLs job to worry about that, and if he felt that short term it could work...we should be all over it like a tramp on hot chips.

It's the anti-football bollocks I was replying to with the beggars and choosers comment.

I think his problem these days is that players just don’t want to play negative football and won’t accept staying in a certain area of the pitch for the entire game

If you follow Jose’s tactics and instructions to the letter you will win, I’ve no doubt

When 1 or 2 don’t like the philosophy or want to play that regimented style the whole thing falls apart, especially over 38 games these days

Definitely still a cup King. Not sure he'll ever win a league title again in a competitive league

I could put up with Jose's football if he won us the league, but I don't really want us to go down that road purely to win the utterly pointless Carabao Cup. Unfortunately, I don't think we've got a cat in hell's chance of winning the league over Guardiola's City regardless of who our manager is. At least not until we've had several years of squad building, but Jose would most likely fall out with everyone and leave before we managed to build a squad capable of challenging City.

In short, I don't like the idea of Jose because it's purely a short-term strategy and I dont think in the short term it's likely that we'll win the league anyway. Therefore I'd rather we get someone in who can build something long term like Poch has done and by the time we're ready to compete properly maybe City won't be quite as dominant.

He just said in his press conference that the journalists are clever and use his words to create a story.

Well, MP, why don't you be clever and don't give them the ammo.

I've said a few times in the last couple of months that our media team need to reign the journalists in a bit. They need to because Poch is making the situation worse with his comments. Numerous times in the last 6 months he's said something in one interview and then had to issue an explanation in the next. It needs to change

Very positive words from Poch, can't watch the full pre-match conference but I am following the live feed and his answers are encouraging.

Let's see if there is any change on the pitch this weekend, and for the next few match days ahead.

Be great if he started to shut down stories that link him to other clubs...instead of flirting like a slapper.

He needs to get the players playing with a smile on their faces. It's all too serious. They won't be able to relax and fulfil their roles on the pitch if they are tense. They need to go on the pitch express and enjoy themselves. He always used to place such emphasis on this.

Sky reporting Poch wasn't at training this morning and the club say that is normal.

No wonder things aren't going well

He normally does his pre-w/e press conference on a Thurs & they're at the training grd, so I'm surprised they say it's normal.
