Could have won it, and the good news is the problem areas are abundantly clear. It’s up to Poch and his staff to get them fixed. Some will happen with players returning from injuries, others likely through more creative measures and adaptation of tactics.

Thought Lo Celso had that Argentinian hardness about him like Lamela has. Gave the mouth to xhaka when he was fouled, then gave Micky Tarian the elbow off the ball. Looked good under pressure and a stocky skillful player. Looking forward to seeing him more.

:LOL: That's even worse than all the Eriksen misspellings.

Two horrendous defences, and really should have been exploited more. Thought we actually did well to hold on, and with a little luck, or somebody other than Sissoko shooting, we may have nicked it. But the goal right on HT, was a killer.
Collectively in defence, we're so poor. Goons have good players, and the way we sat off at times, and allowed them to play was criminal, far too passive.

But we were better up front this week, and looked much sharper. Slightly masked though by Goons terrible defence and wide open spaces. City or Scousers would have had 4 or 5 today.

Last season though we lost this, from the same situation. And I'd have taken a point before the game....COYS

Not fashionable for some reason but arguably the most important player in Poch’s system
Hopefully Skipp can be moulded into his understudy and one of them can play alongside any of Ndombélé, Winks, Lo Celso and Sissoko as the match requires.

A good result on the whole.

Got to sort out this decision making on the break. So many chances squandered.

Winks MOTM by a country mile. So those who think hes not had a good PL game can screw their heads back on.

Poch didn't get it right today. Sanchez at RB was madness. As was not using Moura off the bench.

Rose to be dropped after the break. Time for Davies.

Regarding Winks, You are seeing individual moments that look good. He is not controlling games at all, be it today, or against sides parking the bus. I honestly don't know what you are watching. No pressing, no risk taking, no passing range, just a few good interceptions and tackles, which is what you expect in that position.

I agree totally about Sanches. MAdness. and Moura, pace in the last 15 would have been an asset.

Don’t think it was as bad as some seem to be painting it. Lost control early in the second half, but deserved at least a point. Two of our three toughest away games done, and we’ve a point in each.

Thought Lo Celso looked tidy when he came on.

IB come at a good time. Get some players fit. Get that window closed. Back at the Lane in two weeks’ time to get three points against Palace. Enjoy your evenings (y)

Winks had a fairly average game but he was basically a one man midfield today. Sissoko despite the odd usual charge forward offered no end product and also offered very little defensive cover. Because Sanchez was clearly out of position i'm going to say Sissoko and Rose were our worst players today.

Maybe my expectations are too high for him, but I wouldn't be surprised if Skipp is a regular by the end of the season.

Sanchez was playing out of position. He just needs to be more mature which I hope time is on his side. But in Spurs side, fans had not patience.

Rose on the other hand is almost unforgivable. He used to be the best LB in the country but he was so far off in his game now it's amazing for that to happen.

Playing right back doesn't make you head the ball back into your own area and play them in. It doesn't make you try and take on Aubameyang in your own half.

It certainly felt like he'd been shoehorned in and in fairness did OK at times but he does things at times that make you wonder what on earth he's playing at.

Rose for their first goal has angered me more than any goal for a while. So absolutely preventable. Already on a booking because we overplayed and he does that in INJURY TIME. Fucking clear it!!!

Ndombele and Lo Celso has the potential to be a dominant midfield, both are so good under pressure. Winks was a absolutely beast defensively.

Fun game today, but he have to win this kind of game.

Agreed about Winks. Not a bad player but nothing sets him apart

I kind of agree with all this.
Sissoko needs to work on his mental game.
The only reason he fluffs it EVERY TIME is due to a lack of composure and self belief in those positions.

Yes but it’s mainly down to ability.

For all his improvements he’s still no good at kicking ball.

Think he looks pretty handy myself. Pace decent control. Can see why they bought him. Probably should have spent the money in defence though

Come on mate £72m for s bit of pace and control - created fuck all during the game and only thing he did of note was spank it wide and over about 10 times.

We are a fickle bunch aren't we.... just a few months ago we were praying we would have Sissoko and Winks fully fit to play the champions league final, now apparently neither are good enough. They are both important players, and if Sissoko can improve his final ball to the same degree he has improved other aspects of his game then we'll be laughing - (with him not at him, at least if his shooting improves as well). Lo Celso started to show some class today, and Ndombele looks like a very special player, so I would say we are finally looking good in midfield. Especially with another season with Eriksen. Lot's of positives today - naturally at 2-0 I was very excited about heading into the break with a famous win, but glad we hung on for the point in the end. I would certainly have taken a point from both city and arse away at the start of the season, so no complaints. Newcastle was a travesty, but heh...

Final balls are developed when you are 10, not 30.

It's not the points, its the performances. They are a continuation of 9 months of dreadful league form
