People can laugh at the loans but the reality is if they got top4 because of it and didn't have to risk shelling out 60-80 million on players to do so then they've absolutely smashed it because it puts them back at the top table with the added bonus of additional funds for qualifying, I don't see how people can say that's not a smart decision.

It's a massive gamble, but it should be a hell of a lot of fun along the way! I'd much rather that than our hesitation.

Disappointed in that. I think they will seriously challenge for Top 4 now. Difference between Coutinho and Ozil is night and day.

This is a nightmare. Arsenal haven’t an excellent window and we are getting weaker.

Poch can’t keep working miracles.

Ffs Levy please back Poch properly. Otherwise next season will be a slog.

We've gone from talking of pushing for the title to questioning our top 4 spot in just a few weeks. Coutinho would be a great signing for Arsenal. Their forward options would be frightening.

I don't even see it as a massive gamble, two loan deals where you're not on the hook financially as you didn't spend much at all to get them but are an improvement on what you have. I think that's a sensible risk to take tbh given their squad situation.

Honestly, before we sit tight and do nearly nothing at all cause "goal posts moved" or so it is worth to loan him just for the sake Arsenal does not have him...
And while that we could have a fun year with him and convince staying here.

In a perfect world I would rule out Loans without an option too but this windwo turns a bit ugly.

Yup

There's a lot of chat about how "if we'd been offered X, Y, Z...at the start of the window, we'd have taken it". But the reality is that:
- a team that finished basically neck and neck with us has strengthened significantly
- a team that finished a fee points behind us looks like they could well steal (arguably) our most talented player and chief creator

Yes, we've got Ndombele, but in terms of the first team, that's it...and we've sold our first choice RB

Relatively speaking, right now we've gone backwards

There's a multimillionaire idea for the person who develops a big data system to work out the validity of transfer news sources.
You mean like an App ... If you have the brains and the start up capital, count me in! :ROFLMAO:

Is he usually bullshit? I've not heard of him.

Oh I just don't like him or the sound of his voice - he's on the Totally Football Show podcast (assuming it's his official account). He's a Gooner and a PSG supporter.
