Just released a statement, no injury time scale just says significant lateral damage, so probably a while

Words like 'significant', or 'complex' when used in regards to injuries usually means pretty fucked.

But they're saying he's going to be assessed for the rest of the week, so we shall see. Ankle ligaments isn't going to be the worst lay off, but the season is nearly wrapped at this point.

It is interesting although, his deeper role. I think his game is changing, he is developing and I think its superb. Cause now we know he is goalscoring machine and also great playmaker. Maybe he is doing it too much but IMHO its just a matter of time when he will find the right balance. He is stil 25 guys. In 3 years he will be like super f*cking hiper briliant hell of a striker that can do everything - long shots, headers, penalties, passes. It's just a matter of time when he will start banging in free kicks. And he never complains on the pitch. He is the best player we had in 21st century and probably since 90s and I love him.

Only if these ankle injuries don’t end his career before then. He keeps getting them and it can’t be good for him at all.

Apparently there are 3 grades of this type of injury Grade 1 (Moderate) Grade 2 (significant) Grade 3 (severe) so not good but not as bad as it could be.

Definitely out for the season. He'll be desperate to get back for England this summer though, unfortunately. But it's just not worth the risk. Hope Poch tell Southgate to leave him out and give him the summer off. Maybe not rushing back for once will be good for that ankle. He’s played a ton of football over the last few years and keeps rushing back from his ankle injuries which cannot be good for him. Tell him to suck it up if he moans about it.

“Significant “ is a grade 2 tear. Severe would be grade 3 so my physio friend just told me lol and likely 6 weeks. So knowing Harry will be fit for England.

Yep shouldn't be allowed go. The guy needs a proper summer off. But knowing harry he'll be on the road to recover already.

I understand the sentiment that Harry should just take the summer off and fully recover, but personally I want him on the bench for us in the Champions League Final :) and I really hope he gets to feature for England in the summer. He is the captain for his country and we all know what that means to him. They have a chance to actually win something, and even if it isn't the world cup that is still a big deal. I would like it for his sake, but I am also thinking with my Spurs bias too. The bottom line is that Harry is one of this generation's truly great players, but as he happens to be loyal to Spurs his chances of silverware are, let's face it, more limited than they need to be for a player of his stature. If he wins something with England, as their captain, then that is something tangible to look back on and I could see him staying with Spurs and really pushing us forward. But if he is forced to miss out and let's suppose England do win this cup, then he might just start thinking if I am ever going to win anything in my career perhaps I need to be thinking about a move...

Out of curiosity I just ran some numbers on the recent 7 games with/without against non top 6. The numbers are virtually identical slightly more attempts and on target with him( but that’s also slightly skewed by Palace game) but obviously the win ratio is 100%/33%. If we perform very well in the remaining 5 against non top 6 it’s gonna be very interesting. Not for a minute suggesting we are a better team without him but maybe we will have to look at how we deploy him. Although this dropping off stuff has won him plaudits for his passing maybe it’s actually not the best for the all round team. Anyway be interesting to see what happens.
