Looks like you are correct.

If the foul is committed outside the area and the player falls inside the box then a free-kickoutside is correct. If there are two fouls, oneoutside and one inside then the referee, who has played advantage after the first offence, should award a penalty

That’s one of the issues with VAR.

In similar situations during football games we would expect VAR decisions to go the same way, but unfortunately there are still different referees for each VAR team and they will always have differing opinions.

We shouldn’t see VAR as a set system that is unbiased and exact for each and every call because it is still a human being at the end of the day and that alone guarantees that there will be variances in decisions.

However I saw the highlights for the TAA call, too me it was the right call. Rose is the one who got undone in this situation.

Hey Rez, the law is if the foul starts outside, but carries on into the area, where then the referee blows it is a penalty. It seems the officials just do not know the rules, either that or are bent.

This true, although I have grave concerns about consistenicvies in refereeing. Although that's very much a separate debate.,

Left at the final whistle, ran to seven sisters and got to Paddington in 45 minutes, sweating my bollocks off but I don't give a fuck because WHAT A FUCKING RESULT. The atmosphere was brilliant, the fans played a big part in the result I feel, well done to everyone singing their hearts out. City fans were embarrasing.
