I know he just signed a new contract in the summer but getting him and his team on a bumper new contract would send the message to the players, prospective players, other clubs, fans. The lot.

Sherwood on Talkshite this morning. My lord he is thick
Just carrying on from his stint on the debate last night. Absolute fucking cockwomble.

& also, how many more times are 'pundits' going to perpetuate the idea that Poch has an agent? Fucking hell do your fucking research.

Think they said until the summer.

No mate, this just hit the wires in the last 30 minutes or so, and relates to a deal maybe happening in the summer. It is £1.8m for the current deal agreed with Molde until the summer for him.

You know when you said you were going to let it go? I'm worried that you're heading for a nervous breakdown.

It’s coming from all angles it seems.

Shame Graham Roberts doesn’t really get any work. He’d shoot it all down and at least attempt to

Sky sports ticker says United agree potential £7.2m deal to make Solskjaer permanent manager in the summer....
Its a potential deal so as they can snap him up for relatively little cash, if, and its a massive if, he does really well.

I don't think it changes anything really...if he does badly or even quite well, he'll still be gone in the summer.

Yep, spot on mate. He'll need a stella run of results to stand a chance.

Fans: We need to act like a big club
Same fans: We're doomed and there's no hope

Massive difference between acting like a big club, and actually being arguably the biggest club in the world.

Not saying we're doomed either. FWIW I don't think he'll leave just yet, but this idea that keeps being peddled around that Spurs is a better job than Utd and we just need to start acting like it is/"why would he possibly want to leave Spurs to go to Man Utd" comments is an optimistic pipe dream unfortunately

Ask yourselves this... Why would any top manager go to Yanited right now, if not just for the bunce? It's a poison club right now, buckling under the weight of its collective ego and obsession with profit margins. And for a man like Poche who believes in collective spirit, integrity, and being able to get a cheap Ryanair flight to Barcelona within an hour and a half, it simply doesn't make sense.

I don't think any manager currently in a top job would consider that position any kind of step up. It'll go to one of the unemployed names.

That or Olly will do an amazing job and get the gig. Who knows.

You know that Manchester does have an airport right?!?!

For me, the big telling point is that United are looking to appoint a Director of Football, more specifically Paul Mitchell.
Poch does not like the DoF structure and had a falling out with Mitchell...

Are we sure it was Poch and Mitchell who fell out and not Levy and Mitchell?

I’m sure the whispers were that Mitchell felt all his recommendations were being ignored ( probably because they cost too much money).

Nah I dont think so at all, didnt even cross my mind.

I thought he made a point to Arsenal - basically saying - you celebrated your win last time out like you won the fucking world cup, for us? this is just another win, nothing else.
Spot on and Alli pretty much made that point in the post match interview.
Pretty certain that they used the spectacle of the Arse players dancing around like they had fireworks attached to their arses a couple of weeks ago as all the motivation they needed. Our whole club was making a point last night.
Poch is a professional and he will be focussed, but I must admit I am a little worried about the future as he is 100% the kind of manager they need, and they have the resources and clout to get him. It won't be easy prising him away from us, but it is sure to be a temptation for him.

For Manure to get him they will have to promise to bring half the Spurs team with him, could they really afford 600/700 million in one whack and expect Levy to sell the heap
.Poch ,Kane ,Ali,Eriksen,Vertonghen ,Son are all upgrades on the players they have in place at the moment. Why the hell would he move.

IF......... Poch does jump ship you can be sure that Levy will put a massive embargo on any players following him.

We gave Sherwood an 18 month contract with zero intention of him being there when the season ended.
