I think we can conclude now that the build is running late.

It's funny, I'd bet if Levy had spashed a hundred mil on transfers everyone would be taking this better, but as it stands it's horrible optics when added to the lack of transfer activity.
Bad 5 days for the bald one!
No 1) tick1) We sign nobody in the TW
2) The Liverpool game is played at Wembley
3) We win the League Cup
4) We drop out of top 4
5) Poch goes to RM at end of season
That's harshFunny thing is, there is zero chance the club would have said something until Friday afternoon at the earliest about this if Neil Ashton didnt break it today.

No 2) tick....
My opinion (unpallatable as it may be to some fans) is that we’ve already:
Now we’ve had to extend our game at wembley into October. And why? Money. A proud project and a great stadium no doubt, but one that has been done on the rush to maximise revenue as quickly as possible.
- requested a majority of our matches to be played away from home;
- had special dispensation from the Premier League to play our first ‘home’ game at Wembley;
- scheduled a test event on the same day that the team play Manchester United at Old Trafford
Having seen how well the team adapted to Wembley at the end of last season, it should have been then that the club made an executive decision to continue playing there so we can open the stadium in a manner that is befitting of it.
A poster on COYS has been saying since June that it wouldn’t be ready until November (his info was posted after being ratified by mods on there).
Most laughable thing about this is we heard this breaking news from The Sun
I mean I'd say it's more likely Ashton had found out we were releasing a statement today, not the other way round.Funny thing is, there is zero chance the club would have said something until Friday afternoon at the earliest about this if Neil Ashton didnt break it today.
I agree Dougal. Some though it does matter to. Especially those that really don’t like Wembley. I put up with it and will do whatever we do. Some though will not travel again to Wembley - yourself?I honestly don’t care when it’s ready as long as it doesn’t affect the results on the pitch.
Is there any chance Mace will be under penalties for late delivery?
Levy has only himself to blame, he should have been advised at to the operational nightmare a massive capital project like this will encounter, from various construction consultants that should have had his ear. When people try and fit in projects like this into time-scales they always fall to the way side.
He would have been updated daily on the progress of the project, there is no doubting that this is something that has hasnt came to light recently. Sparks on the site could have told you three weeks ago that there is no way it will be done to the time frame we were told.
I like number 3), at least.No 1) tick
No 2) tick....
