I'd rather play him against Fulham for 60 mins, try and win the game early. Maybe rest him for OT, and hope Lamela's back to play the false 9 role he did so well last season.I wouldn't start Kane.
He looked ragged at the World Cup, had no proper pre season and was well off the pace today.
I think it's better to look after his fitness. A week of training, half an hour against Fulham. Another week of training, start at Man Utd.
In addition if we are keeping Llorente we should give him some confidence. What does it say to him that Kane at such a low standard still starts? What would happen if not managing Kane's fitness causes a long term injury?
