I really think we need to address our ludicrous goalkeeper situation. Having two foreign spot taken up by our second and third choice goalkeepers is nuts. Beyond that, selling Toby is a bad call regardless of how much we sell him for, and surely he would go for as much as VVD if he left? But I guess Toby going really isn’t down to us. selling Rose is another bad call, considering he is club trained and home grown I think we should keep him and give him a chance to get back to his best. Also selling Walker, Toby and Rose (all key memenber of the best defence in the league) over the space of two summers isn’t a positive move no mater how you spin it. I wouldn’t sell Coco, I rate him, he’s a fighter, he loves Spurs and he doesn’t moan about starting on the bench. You would be hard pressed to find another player of his quality or better not expecting to have more game time.
Sissoko and VJ have to go and probably the same goes for Llorente. I don’t think we should bring in Sess as an attacking option, so if that’s what we wanted I would prefer Malcom. As a left back 100%. But If it’s a choice between the two for a forward role ether Malcom or someone else. Really, I would put most of our money into a rotation option for Dembele. As good as he has been, we all know his fitness situation and he’s no spring chicken, the ideal being Kovacic but I doubt we will deal with RM as I’m sure there will be too many strings. Beyond that, I would go for a young, hungry advance forward who could play both on the wing or up front. Essentially a younger version of a player like Mertens. Or I would just get Mertens for 25 mil (which is his release clause come summer) and buy Arp and loan him out for a season. obviously a player of Mertens quality would expect playing time but buying a player like that would mean we wouldn’t need to get another WF as well therefore killing two birds with one stone. Martial is another example but obviously we have 0 chance of getting him of Jose.
On a side note, regardless of the work done over the winter, I think Malcom will go to BM, they need young wingers and he would preobably get a decent amount of game time from the off. And it’s BM.
PS, I’m assuming thats ITK about our intrest in Tah being a real target? As ever, cheers @Hercules for the info. Your a king amongst men.
