TOP RIGHT has done well to make a second career for himself in football after playing 3 of Hans Gruber's henchmen from the original Die Hard movie.

Goes to show if these young players are good enough Poch will play them. That’s been shown with us and Southampton.I think we did under AVB as well though not as young as Poch. Either way I don't understand why that's relevant, to judging who has used the academy more, if Poch chooses to buy young players and not use the academy, then he is not using the academy. In double the time, he has used it less. He may never bring another through again but will a young starting XL make that acceptable, will we just keep finding more and more reasons why we can't question this aspect of his management.
As BG said in the old thread I saw, we have produced more World Class players than we have ever bought, and we are still more likely to produce a World Class player than we are to buy one. I only care about Spurs being successful

We know you have a bee in your bonnet atm about this so I’ll leave it there
Dele played loads in L1 but hadn’t proved he was good enough for premier league, Poch gave him his chance and look now.they're good enough because they've been allowed to prove it under another manager.

Could Poch do more maybe but I’m more inclined to go with him than not tbh.
He’s a excellent coach for young players
There's no doubt about that, he is great at taking players and make them realise their potential however he is not good at developing youth players who are farm freshDele played loads in L1 but hadn’t proved he was good enough for premier league, Poch gave him his chance and look now.

You couldn’t have known Dele was already good enough for premier league. I’d watched since he was 14 and I weren’t even sure he’d be ready straight away like he was.But he had already proven he was good enough for professional /adult football. Like Sessegnon has, like any signing we make from Ligue 1 or Eredivisie or wherever. We see them playing in competitive league's judge their ability and decide to buy them Alli was already good enough for PL football. You've described how every signing from outside the PL works, and giving kudos to the manager for playing them. Depay wasn't proven in PL football pat on the back for LVG for giving him his chance.
It would have been more difficult if we had bought Sancho and played him in the PL, as he wasn't already playing first team football.
You're right he is an excellent coach for young players, we agree on some things.

I just think some are incredibly harsh on poch tbh and it’s pretty annoying
There’s no chance anyone would’ve thought Dele was good enough to go straight into our side for PL football especially not as a CM that he was at the time. There was a post @Flobadob I believe who watched Alli and thought he was good enough for the PL. I don't think we would have signed him if we did not believe he was good enough for the PL. We signed GKN as we believed he was good enough for the PL. Fans, as I always say, completely underrate English academy players, if they're talented and one of the best in their age group they will be good enough for the PL regardless of what league they are playing in.
I didn't watch Alli in League One but had seen him for England, I didn't think he was quality but if someone said he could play in the PL I wouldn't have questioned it. If you're playing England u19s 9 times out of 10 you're going to be good enough for the PL. RLC, Winks, Alli, Galloway, Chilwell plus all played England u19s together, others who did and are/were good enough include Colkett, Roberts, Brown, Morris, Aina, but never received their chance.
I get annoyed also, when I believe I'm seeing talent go to waste, and us missing out, but if it's any consolation, I'm going to continue to be annoyed a lot longer than you will
Anyway on topic the only for me ready is KWP to compete for his position (and hopefully overtake Trippier this summer).
Most of the U23s should be released imo because not many are going to make it. ( the eldest of the lot not U19s playing up )

On a slightly different note MK signed Ugbo from Chelsea but he had to miss the game Vs AFC yesterday so he could play for there U23 team.
Is this common practice?
yes on loan. Can’t imagine we wouldn’t off used him as he signed a week before and started straight away against qpr. Must have been a prior arrangement although the U23 game wasn’t exactly a important one tbh ( Sunderland away won 5-0 with Ugbo getting 1 )On loan? No it's not but players come back to play u23 football while on loan. I doubt they'd prioritise an u23 match over a league match, so imagine MK said he wasn't going to play the match for whatever reason so Chelsea decide to use him

Yea hopefully won’t happen again as Mk need a good mobile striker. Can’t bear to watch many more bore 0-0Strange one. I don't believe it's common but then I only really follow us and we don't use them as much. Whatever it is I don't believe it would be a case of Chelsea prioritising an u23 match over a loan match. Makes no sense
