Bale's on aprx. £250,000 a week. So unless he's ready to cut that in half there is no way he'll join Spurs.
He's also been very injury prone. And no, I don' think the medics at Spurs are any better than the medics at Real M. in healing and preventing such injuries (but I would love to be proven wrong)...
Does anyone honestly believe we'd get Bale without someone else going the other way, someone we definitely would not want to see the back of?
Real Madrid only do deals that they come out on top in. Expecting anything else is rather naive IMO.
Didn’t the leaked contract show it was over 4 years so will have been paid by nowI wonder if or how much they still owe us for bale?

That's not true. There's Rodriguez to Bayern on a two year loan deal at Bayern for a start.
No doubt. Who would be crazy enough to pay 250k a week to someone who is likely to miss over half the season due to injury? When Bale leaves Madrid he'll very likely be taking a chunky pay cut wherever he ends up. This matching his wages business isn't going to happen. Anywhere. IMO of course

Injured again. Thanks for the memories, but its a no, for me.

Loved watching him in a Spurs shirt. But like my Dad used to say, in life we move forward, don't go chasing yesterday.
I think he'd have to be considered a luxury player. His injury record at RM suggests he'd likely only be available inconsistenly.
Add to this his pace is going to drop off and his mun, and I'd have to agree with my good old dad. Let's look to the future and try to snaffle the next young player capable of emulating Mr Bales damn fine displays in a Spurs shirt.
(Minus the not being on the winning side for the first 23 games)
Was 23 wasn't it?.
