Bournemouth played out of their skins and defended brilliantly. We played into their plan by slowing the ball down way too much when approaching the box, but in turn, that was mainly because they left so few gaps. We had a great deal of pressure in the second half, but remarkably few shots - everything got snuffed out before someone could get a shot away. That's generally a sign of a very well-drilled defence.

Fortunately, we generally defended well, too, especially Vertonghen (except for one late brain-fart). 0-0 was a fair scoreline for a good football match. Eddie Howe is a very good manager who is building himself a very attractive and effective team.

I see a number of posts suggesting the ref was a "homer". If that had been so, we would have finished with 9 men.

Saw a zoomed out angle and a zoomed in angle of the sissoko elbow. Would be lucky to get a 3 game ban. Wow. Looked absolutely atrocious zoomed out. Deliberate. He knew exactly what he was doing. Disgusting. Wound up for an elbow to the head. Arter could have been concussed there ffs. 3 game ban would be lucky as fuck for him

Shouldn't have tried to grab the ball then when it was clearly ours.

Little shit.

Another chance to go top blown. If only we had someone like Chadli to bring on instead of an inferior player that cost twice as much as we sold him for.

Janssen cannot play in this league as a lone striker.

His positioning is absolutely woeful. It's all well and good holding the ball but he's playing like he doesnt realise he's our goal scorer.

I got stick last week for complaining about the west brom result. What are the excuses from those people this week then?

Title contenders my arse. I have no doubt we will challenge for 4th but the gooners look miles ahead of us this year.

Their attack is a different level to ours. Ozil, Sanchez and Cazorla make our current options look laughable.

Annoying thing is, we are becoming a boring team to watch too.

Disappointed by that, but Bournemouth worked incredibly hard to be fair.

Still think a lack of cutting edge in the final third continues to restrict us somewhat.

Yeah and the reason 98% wanted a player that can find the pass and unlock a team. So far we have relied on Son's hot streak and some luck.

I really want to see more of GKN cause the appearances I have seen suggest that he can change a game more than Sissoko.

Cant say we at any point played like we deserved to win the game. Needed to be sharper in all areas of our game tbh.

Bournemouth will get loads of praise from the media, but they did fuck all with their 12 men. One shot on target in the first two minutes.

In summary last seasons regular attacking players have been poor this season.

We knew we needed to subsidise them.

And we have signed a relegated player with no end product, a forward from a semi pro league, and a bloke who cant get a game. What the fuck were we expecting?

Sixty odd million hosed down the drain and we are still looking for someone to stick the ball in the net. Quite shocking when you think about it.

We are fortunate that we have a good squad of players. However, apart from the back four plus Wanyama I can't currently see a team. There are too many in front who just aren't connecting or are trying to play in the same space. It's not good enough that we can only look threatening through the wing backs.

We were warned by all Newcastle fans. Our own fault

We didnt need to be warned by their supporters we had all seen him over the years and no one outside of those who will support the management regardless of what they do could see that.

Watching this shit today has been painful. Shocking performance. A chance to go top and the bottle goes as usual.

Yep no one has mentioned the bottle. Its gone again.

Ill disciplined.
Poor touches
Poor passes
Indecisive.
Ponderous.
No one wants to get in the box

All signs of nerves.

Saved by the system defensively.

Thought Bournemouth were excellent to be fair and I know we could have been sharper going forward but we are extremely solid at the back even without Toby

And one retrospectively banned?
Not for me, but when you slow it down it looks bad and the reports of the game will make a big deal of it. To me it looked like a 'get off, my ball' sort of thing rather than malicious.
