That would be great. I can just see CBs bullying him if he gets isolated. I.e. Jan and Toby did an awesome job on Defoe at the weekend when he wasnt supported. A bit of size sometimes does help. Ulloa caused them some trouble the week before. A big lump who can play a bit offers a bit more of a plan B too. Perhaps there is room for both SB and another as Grey Fox suggested...particularly if Townsend goes.

1) i think he is 5ft 11... wish people would stop comparing him to defoe!
2)he can play up top on his own
3) augero doesn't do too badly and he is about 2 ft tall....

3 of you have shot my down quite rightly since my post - didn't realise he was stacked like me. He looked a weakling on fifa. My bad :)

Still, I do like the Drogba type of striker.

He is compared to Defoe for plenty of other reasons than height. One of them being that Berahino himself actually wants to be compared to Defoe. So maybe we should stop shooting down the comparison. Just saying.

Incredible how on the pitch he looks 5'6".

I worry a bit about his attitude. He won't be first choice up front, how will he respond to that should he come to Spurs?

sorry to hear that we may close down in February if there are not more donations. Appears the lurkers only donate when there are a load of ITKs here to entice them . Afraid those days may be gone so here's 50 smackers from me in the hope it helps.

I honestly think he will play to the left or right of Harry, if not when allowing young Harry a rest up top. once he is up to speed, so might be on the bench till May :p

why not both Berahino and Dembele? that could make us title contenders
and then 2 days later: ali z: Working hard to do a deal or 2, very hard getting players you want in Jan, as I understand it SB and MD most likely.

Donation made. This site is brilliant all the time even if you don't post. Hope more people donate as the loss of Spurs Community would be massive. It's not just about the transfers, ITK, it's all of it. Thank you

Hertyid on COYS:

Martinez was pitched to us but they want their money back and he's too old - after Soldado it's a no go.
Young Mousse is good as done.
Poch is not interested in SB.
We got 14 for Andros

Hmm great that it looks like we will get Moussa II, but he's not exactly the reliable backup striker we are looking for right?

Pretty sure 1 will be Ramirez, as we know he's actively for sale

The other might be a Ryan Nelsen type CB, in case Fazio goes and Milos doesn't sign his contract.
what about wimmer and CV are we really that light in the CB position if Fazio leaves

Berahino, Dembele. 2 from abroad Ben Yedder, Jackson Martinez. (Just examples). If we can't sign Berahino then we move for the targets who are abroad.
Hope the dembele move is more a case of when (now or summer) rather than if

So, split opinion from the ITK crowd. Poch not interested in SB or still number 1 target?

Personally, I would still prefer Berahino as I think he is more equipped to make a bigger immediate impact and at only 22 still has potential to get better. Also has some pre existing understanding with Kane.

On the other hand, Dembele does seem more of a number 9, but from what I've heard is still very raw and not really ready for the PL yet.
