What about it? Come back to me if you've never made a mistake in life and particularly one you've regretted. Especially when you were younger. In fact come back to me when the footballer that your username is tribute to is squeaky clean too.

I wont be holding my breath. Holier than thou doesn't do it all justice.

totally correct, our legend Ledley was no angle, but people want to use excuses for players they don't want to sign. if we signed him, wander what their replies will be if he helps the goal difference

I reckon when Berahino was waving to the WBA fans he was really waving goodbye forever. You could see it in his eyes.
You reckon? If so pullis is a prat. However I do not think that was the case as even if he wanted to play him it would not of been allowed by the buying club. Then again, what do I know.

Wouldn't be at all surprised if the deal is done and this was Peace sticking two final fingers up to Levy. In his head, I'm sure this is some sort of moral victory.

He'll find a horse's head in his bed tonight.

Don't be obtuse, Ledley was a right angle.

The drink driving is the only issue there imo.

You'd be hard pushed to find a pro playing that hasn't had some sort of bust up in training or in the ndressing room and the nitrous I can put down to him being young and naive.
Exactly....
Frickin eck. How many people in their life haven't gambled and driven over the limit? How many haven't had a punch up? How many haven't used illicit substances? Why do we believe because players are on shedloads of money that they'll behave differently? They're human. And, he's got the added psychological difficulty of having witnessed untold war/genocidal atrocities.
We unsettled him last summer with our approach; and now we're slagging him for his response. I don't get it. His supposed issues are nothing in the grand scheme of things. Grow some balls people who keep slagging the poor fucker. Upset our applecart? He'd not be allowed through the gates of Bulls Cross if he tried. He's 22! Give him the space to grow.
Over & out...

Everyone makes mistakes when they're young. Doesnt intrinsically make them a shit.

But this lad is. Too much evidence to say otherwise.

Oh for fucks sake, will some of you give it a rest? You have absolutely no idea what was behind the celebration, you have absolutely no idea what the situation is between Berahino and Pulis and you have absolutely no idea what the real story is between him and the West Brom.

A bit like Defoe did with West Ham when he was younger, the kid has made a mistake, been poorly advised, call it what you will, and suddenly he's Adebayor reincarnated. Cut the kid some slack, he's made a mistake and its entirely possibly, like Defoe and probably plenty of others like him, he'll learn from it and go on to have a fine career.

Bunch of holier than thou ****s :p

Bloody Defoe comparisons again....

Of course there is. Of course. He's a habitual **** and every single line written about him is true.

Thank you, expert witness in weight of evidence for the prosecution.

What would be really nice is if people who object to our signing him did so based on his football and not by standards held by a bunch of hypocritical opinionated fucktards whose moral compasses are set so high it makes mother Teresa look like a base bukkake cumslut. This really is all a lesson in how the media fashions and shapes the opinions of the mob. It's really weird how 99% of you call bullshit on so much they hear and read in the media but the Berahino stories are all gospel.

So many agendas being formed on him already. If he does sign, the daggers will come out as soon as he goes a couple of games without scoring. It's going to be another Lamela. Internet point scoring ftw.

Yeah but if he starts scoring people will shut up about him and claim that they've always backed him yada yada yada

That's generally how these things work.

I wouldn't dare judge. He's a saint as far as I'm concerned.

Was at the WBA game today (part time BCFC fan) and Saido actually looked reasonably sharp today, certainly offered more to WBA's attack (and they were crap by the way) than Lambert or Rondon!

Stuck my head in here and it's all going off...

Seems the argument is about pre-judging him and whether we believe what we hear about him and the quality of such info. As someone who has posted a snippet of info previously in the thread I make no apologies. The info I got about him being a pain in the arse, and that this isn't isolated and goes back to prior breaking in to the first team, was from a player. I'd say that's a pretty well placed source/opinion and worth passing on. Up to others how they then judge him on all the evidence available. As I've said, if Poch wants him at a doable price for the club then you have to back him, but the couple of things I have heard don't really add up to a glowing reference character-wise and I haven't got a problem stating that...

No mate. It's called experience/hindsight. It's called looking at the past. If you really want I could give you a list of starlets names that never achieved because of their attitude.

One of your blessed ITK's has said how he is regarded at WBA. And it isn't positive. In fact every story ever linked to him in the press is negative. Age can only be used as factor so many times.

In regard to your other points, personal insults notwithstanding his career is basically based on a purple patch in the prem of about 14 games and a decent run in the U21 European championships, which also yielded a fuckton of negative press due to his poor attitude.

Hellfire, maybe you're right and everyone else bar you and his agent are talking bollocks.

But I doubt it. And I also doubt he will get as close as Hemel Hemstead to signing for us.

Your loss maybe. But not Spurs.

He is a wrong 'un.

Edit. I do believe most of the football press is nonsense. I don't even read the tabloids. But when all the media is negative then you have to believe there is a modicum of truth to it.
