Good thing Henry Winter didn't come onto SC s few years ago, he would have written about someone being so hellbent on Kane not making it he'd eat his own underpants

Well done to our Harry on the England call up...as much as i would like to keep him for Spurs (purely selfish reasons) he utterly deserves that call up and it will only serve to give him more confidence...another one of his ambitions fulfilled...onwards and upwards hopefully.

Made up for him, well done Harry. I fear, that being in that fucking cesspit of ****s that is the England team it will ruin him now.

Thoroughly deserved I am so pleased for him. At the start of the season I said to my mates that he would be our best striker by the end of it. So to be called up is better than
even I expected. I just hope he continues to work hard and I'm convinced he will get even
better.

I followed a link to his twitter message about making the England squad and was reminded why I don't go on there often. You've got West Ham fans calling him a "mong" and people wishing him a broken leg etc...

What the hell is wrong with these people? :banghead:

It's pretty worrying that there are people who think this is acceptable, if they bring that into their day to day lives I can only imagine what absolute losers they'll end up as. A prescription of vitamins T,H and C would chill them out but they'd still be scum bags, I wouldn't waste bong water on these fools.

Yeah I just don't go on there much so I don't see it as often as others, I guess I don't understand why people would send abuse to someone they don't even know. I'm sure Kane takes it all in his stride though so I don't want to derail the thread with too much talk of these bufoons. I reported some of them, not that I expect anything to be done

Congrats to him on getting an England call up, but my word, speaking as an outsider, what a mess the England setup is. It's no surprise you haven't won anything in so long. These team selections are just stale and seem to be old-head FA politics.

How on earth are Townsend and Walker in the squad and Danny Rose isn't? It's even worse when you consider just how little Gibbs and Baines have played of late.

As well as Rose, Cresswell and Bertrand should be ahead of Gibbs at the moment.

fun to go back and read the comments from the first pages of this thread. As is about right for SC a lot of muppets slating the young man BUT, and this is key, a LOT of support from posters in addition
