Outrageous. I'm speechless.

How about the ref? He's closer than the linesman, he's looking at the play and he didn't overrule.

If that lino really did flag offside because he didn't understand the offside rule, he should be sacked and never officiate again.
He's thinking he's clever as fuck and got to exercise his self righteous speech to all that will listen (say like Mr Bean) "There's got two be players between the goal and the ball"

Not when it's in your own half you fucking bell end!

The standard of refereeing in this country is embarrassing. Why the fuck have we not got video appeals yet?

It was that bad it looked like the linesman did it just to give Sunderland a chance.

It doesn't, lino trying to be too clever with a little understood rule.

It's not little understood. Every man and his dog who's watched more than 5 football matches knows you can't be offside in your own half.

It's not that we were crap, it's just the same old problems that Pochettino doesn't really seem to be curing.

Even fucking Foy can see he's in his own half. It's not just diabolical from the linesman, it's both of them.
Our problem is a personnel problem.

I know your solution is 433 and everything is magic, but that wouldn't be the case - we need to replace some of these players. That fact will always remain.

I cannot for the life of me understand how Chris Foy is still allowed to referee us after he consistently cheats against us, and that is what it is, cheating. You just have to watch this performance and the one against Stoke a few years back to see it. Disgusting.

We shouldn't blame refs for us playing badly, but some of his performances against us are absolutely game changing.

People don't wanna believe it but corruption is real in the prem.

It might be real but I really don't think that the decision was the result of corruption. We aren't in any danger of winning the league or anything.

when was the other?

Swansea. He didn't play on the left after Dembele's introduction. And even so, he didn't play into space, he received the ball in the middle and capitalized.

Conversely, I'll give you that he did arrive from just left for today's winner.

I've said it for years, 1 ref on the pitch with an ear-piece, officials elsewhere in a room full off screens/angles etc giving him pin-point accurate to-the-second information. There.
For clear decisions like that I agree, but if the decision is harder to call it could be a problem with so many officials all with different opinions.

Also, this utter blatant corruption is sickening and this goes for the whole world, but corrupted people shouldn't be shocked at backlash when they do completely idiotic things.

Yeah life is unfair but we don't need this shit.
Um...didn't we win?

They should be made to re-enact the Thunderdome scene from Mad Max 3 "two refs enter 1 (or no) refs leave"

make em fight to the death only to tell the "winner" he can still never ref again, and "we've sewn up your anus whilst you weren't looking."

Is it little understood? I've known that rule since I was a kid, I just explained what happened to my girlfriend and the first thing she said was "But you can't be offside in your own half?" - I don't think he was trying to be clever at all. I think he was absolutely fucking retarded and should apologise to Spurs/Jan for such a fundamental mistake.

I also think he should never work in the game at this level again. Absolutely indefensible decision, up there with the Mendes Old Trafford goal or the "Adebayor offside with three Stoke players standing on the goal-line" decision - funnily enough in another Chris Foy game.
What I mean is hes tried to be smart because there was only one player goal side and that's all that was going through his head.

Don't worry mate, I understand it, but its a question that comes up if a keeper is out of his goal.
