I hate to say this but I think they will beat us tomorrow. They have too much fight for us

I hope to fuck I am wrong as I hate them
They will certainly try to outmuscle us. Expect Kouyate, whom I saw numerous times while he was at Anderlecht, to be all over Lamela (or Eriksen if he switches to position behind the striker) from the first whistle.

We will need to be up for the fight and I don't expect an easy game, although I think a spark of class from our attacking 4 will decide it.

We have seen first hand what a good job Pochettino has done in the premier league already.

Pochettino can actually speak English.

Ramos had a tough job moulding together a lot of new signings whilst his two best strikers were sold.

I dont think anyone is getting too carried away with his appointment but he definitely doesnt worry me in terms of how he will take the squad forward. Hes seems to be a level headed guy and the Southampton players loved working under him and by the sounds of it the Spurs lads seem to like his work also.

We havnt got Sherwood and that will fucking do for me:)

Some good points! Going to be tough opener for us.........

I think it will be tough but I think most away games on the opening day of the season are. Just hope some of our 'bigger name' players can step up to the plate.

I love the opening day of the season, its like xmas when youre a kid....

I am expecting way too much. 3-0, at a minimum. I want these f'ers to completely forget about the 3-0 record last season.

Here in the states this match is going to be the first ever match to be streamed live in movie theaters across the country. Unfortunatly the closest one to me is 100 miles away. It's a good thing a bar called World Of Beer opens early on game days!!

Ramos was the next "big thing" to manage back in 2007.........
Poch is not really considered 'the next big thing' to the extent Ramos was. Ramos won stuff, Poch hasn't won a thing if I am correct. Poch is considered more of a promising manager. But he is one who is experienced in this league and actually has a clear plan. Players love to play for him as well, despite how hard he makes them work. That itself shows him to have some talent for sure.

Anyway really looking forward to it. It's gonna be no walk over though. It'll be tough, West ham will be up for it and so will the fans. Opening days away are hard to begin with. Most importantly I just want to see some positives we can build on. Having said that we are favorites and a win would be great.

Jesus Christ people, man up.

This isn't last season were it took us 60 odd minutes to come out of our coma. Or being managed by a complete novice.
Or having next to nothing to play for at the end of the season.

It might not be a perfect display but it doesn't need to be. They're missing their most crucial player, in Carroll, and we'll be coming out of the traps quickly - pressing them and bang up for the fight.

A win for me.

It will be tough but I'm looking for signs that we are making progress. We need to be aggressive, attacking and fearless. If we match them for effort our quality will tell. The Fergie teams were never out worked and that is the key for me.

Surely yu don't mind traveling 100 miles for a game! Shame it's not on Sky Sports over here since they are giving everyone a free day of sport

Call me optimistic but i got a funny feeling we are going to be all over these bastards. I think we are going to play them off the park. Now i am not saying we are going to win by a big margin but playing off the park i mean in terms of us barely giving them a sniff. 3-1 Spurs as we always concede but i'm confident poch has really implemented his philosohpy and he won't take no shit from lazy assed players. We just look a lot sharper and quicker under poch.

We heard the same thing when AVB took over. The truth is, we just don't know how Pochettino will do with this group of players. There's a world of difference between us and Southampton - not least the fact that we have a lot of players who are in a much more comfortable position than they had. Better money, better location, some that will see us as a stepping stone, and others that are just happy to be at a big club.

Unfortunately we're not that big a club that our players will necessarily be motivated to put in a shift...compared to a team full of Championship players just happy to get a crack at the Prem, and other players looking to make an impression in a new country (and move to a better club). I'm just hoping Pochettino can create a positive atmosphere at Tottenham, and turn us into a club that is fun to be at again.

NBC Sports is playing Everton vs Leicester sole because of Tim Howard. Fuck that noise. A London derby takes a back seat to Tim Howard? Fuck off NBC. Fuck. Off.

Gonna stream it via airplay from my phone to the tv since on iPad NBC's app doesnt go fullscreen. ****s. So if someone texts or calls me, there WILL be bloodshed.

I'm going 2-0 loss, with this place in meltdown. Ade to miss a sitter and a combination of Rose and one of our CBs gifting them an absolutely comical, horrendous goal.

I can just see one of their vermin supporters holding up four fingers whilst screaming into the camera after the second one goes in.

Sorry- not confident at all about this match- or the squad in general. I fear we are a mentally weak team.

*Edit* I wish some of you #%$ers would stop neg-repping me just because I've voiced my opinion. It goes without saying that I hope I'm wrong, but I'm realistic enough to know that this is pretty much the exact same squad as the one from a few months ago- i.e., the team that got obliterated by these shitstains multiple times. Poch might be a great manager but he's not a magician, so our much-hoped-for turnaround might not happen quite yet. If we had picked up, say, an Edgar Davids-type to boss the midfield then maybe I'd feel a bit better, but as it is we have some major question marks (Lamela, Capoue, Soldado, Paulinho, Dawson, Chiriches, etc., etc.) to start the year so forgive me if I'm not brimming with confidence. In fact each one of those guys (with the exception of maybe Dawson) has THUS FAR been a right head case, which is why until proven otherwise I'm concerned about our mental state.

So WTF!? yourself.
