It's not to do with the formation. It's that FdB's teams are quite slow-paced in possession and don't have the purposefulness of Poch's ones.

No - I was parodying people who are thinking like that (affecting a UKIP accent) - associating AVB and Poch mainly because of their Southern European origin.

Yeah, AVB was an utter disaster in his first season when he guided us to a point off 4th. Wasn't the right man for us in the end but 'disaster' is just looking at it without any perspective.

It worked very well when we actually did it (Inter in the Europa League last season is the best example but there are others under both AVB and Redknapp).the high line and pressing has really worked out for us so far

Surely the fact that the club is not whoring this all across the media is a good thing, I suspect Daniel Levy has done everything by the book and approached Southampton in a professional businesslike manner and I also suspect that we are holding back any announcement in agreement with Southampton whilst they do the same thing to get their new manager.
Whether we want an announcement or not is irelevant, that the club handles itself with integrity is! I'd have thought that was the case anyway.

Exactly this for me..If anyone has time they should read a few articles in Poch like I did. I'll admit that I was quite anti-Poch in the past and I think I made some stupid comments a few weeks/months ago that I regret but doing your research like I did really helps

I'm just excited for us to get a new manager, and a competent one at that. I am sick of looking back at games and thinking that we lost due to poor tactics, poor players selection, or having unmotivated individuals on the pitch. I will be happy to once again be able to look at games and think that we simply lost to a better side, if and when losses happen.
I think anyone that ends up getting the job (Pochettino or FDB) will be a step in the right direction. My apprehension towards a Pochettino appointment has lessened to a great degree. I just want either of these two to come in, as they have both shown evidence of getting a team to perform, at a minimum, to their expected level. The sooner an announcement is made, the better.
