I can't believe the vitriol being aimed at Bentaleb on this site, it' disgraceful.. we have ayoung player come through the ranks & all people want to do is write him off as over-rated, well he's not & is still playing within himself & is capable of a lot more & that needs to be brought out of himo be braver on the ball because he's capable of it, I f we had a style of play it would help, so don't knock a young lad making his way in the game,.. support him
It's what fans used to do for young player's.. now it's knock him, Pathetic
I've seen it so many times before. It's not a fault of Spurs fans so much as football fans in general. It does bring out the worst in people sometimes.

Yeah we were.
Absolutely not. We had about three shots. Claiming a team that has pretty much zero shots on target but just loads the ball into the box is unlucky is exactly what the England football teams' fans have done for years. At some point you have to say, nope that is not how you should be trying to play and admit that tactically it was all wrong.

the problem with us is even with total commitment like today we are still a shambles, caught out far too often in the first 30mins with our clueless attacking and as it panned out we never recovered, we are bottom of the league for the way we perform in the first 15 mins because we are clueless

I actually think we played quite well. We're just short of guile in the final third.

Definitely one of the best 90 minutes we've put together under Sherwood.

Er Liverpool plus utd will find their mojo again and more importantly they will back their manager with serious coin and that is the game changer while Liverpool keep hold of their best players we don't.
I would say that is more than enough to keep us well away plus who would manage us.

In all fairness some highly respected managers have very recently declared an interest.

The rest is just speculation.

There is a myriad of things that are impossible within the confines of this universe, and Tottenham finishing 4th is not one of them.

Pretty much. Beckham, VDV and anyone else who could cross well, have all learned to be that good through hours and hours of late training sessions. I doubt Lennon knows what the training ground looks like at 5 pm.
Why can't we blame Townsend for not staying after training working on his crossing then? The are grown men

I thought Nabil had a really good first half as well, thought he was bright, energetic and showed some good composure.

I do. However, it is also the responsibility of the coaches to demand that sort of thing from their employees.

Plenty of want, commitment and desire - 10/10
Absolute lack of craft, guile and creativity - 4/10
And therein lies the problem with this current Spurs squad.
Having spent over 110million - I'm at a loss as to how we spent it.
We wanted it more than the Ar$e - but they had the better quality players.
Are we a work in progress?
I doubt it.
I don't see the talent.
I also don't understand why Soldado is forever on the bench.
Te only time in recent months we've looked like scoring is when we play 2 up front.
Dim Tim waited too long to play that card (again).
Two up front increases our odds of opportunities.
Ade can work his socks off (in the wrong areas of the field).
We're just about the 5th best team in the league - more likely the 6th.
We need an overhaul (again).
We need a better manager (again).
Tiring being a Spurs fan isn't it?!

Don't forget Bentaleb.

I turned it off on the 87min. Knew we weren't going to score, once it got to the 80min it was like the players had given up and just started giving away cheap fk's and letting the clock run down.
So different from last year where we seemed to have unearthed a winning mentality, how many times did we score late on in matches? For whatever reason we haven't had that all this season.

It was like going back years today, we played well and deserved more but ultimately we just didn't have the belief that we were going to get something from the game. Pretty much summed up by Chadli, had a decent first have but went into hiding after missing an all but open goal. Mentally weak.

We are so much better off with Levy at the helm than before he took over.

Since Levy has taken over we are disappointed at not making 4th.

Before Levy took over we were relieved to not get relegated.

I know which scenario I prefer.
Agree. Us fans are in meltdown because we are currently the 5th best team in the league. It would take to long a response to explain why the teams above us are where they are.

We're as toothless as a 95 year old prostitute and we just don't seem to have the belief or the sheer will to win. Doesn't help that we seem to be cursed but the mentality at the club needs work. I fucking hate football.

That's an insult to the 95 year old prossie.

The dead cat has well and truly bounced out the door and down the High Road. It's probably south of the river by now.

I think we need a manager with experience and we need to give them the necessary power and support to overhaul the club - not the first team, not the playing staff, but the whole fucking club.

Oh so that was there game plan. Tosh mate, they don't go out to play like that, never have.

To be honest I can't believe the reaction in here, forum has gone way down hill IMO.

On the front foot for 95% of the game, Yeah we lack guile in the final third, but its been like that all season. Overall we were unlucky to lose the game, should of had at least a credible draw to show for our efforts.

I have never in my life seen such an agenda against one person - even though he's struggling, its quite pathetic in all honesty.
Did you think Sherwoods in game tactics and substitutions were good, or indeed logical?

I agree with a lot of what you say here, and there are too many people that haven't given Sherwood a fair shake of the stick, but today was different. It was our make or break game. The big one. Win and we're back in the hunt, lose and it's over. Full stop. Yes, we played better than other recent performances, and you could see more passion and belief, but the substitutions stifled us at the most important times in the game. With 10 minutes to go, 1-0 down, in a must win game, honestly, what would you do? Is there anyone, at all, on the whole of the spurs community forum, that would have taken Eriksen off? Come on, speak up.

I'm not saying that we would have definitely won the game, that would be ridiculous, but an attacking change would have at least given us a chance, no? It was gutless at the most important of times.

The whole of WHL were telling TS to bring Soldado on at around 60 mins, what did he do, he took Sandro off for pauli and Chadli off for Siggy, Why? .. it was after that that they nearly scored their second but for a good save. Soldado should have come on while we had good momentum and the crosses were flying in.

If we know this, why dosnt the manager?

Im done for the season now, i couldnt care less any more, ive had enough of this shit.

While im at it, DL has to take a lot of the blame, If he and AVB couldnt butt heads and come out together for the sake of the club then he's really not a great guy to be in charge tbh.
