If Dawson isn't allowed to have a pop at people not treating games seriously enough because he isn't as talented as them, then it really is a wonder that the likes of Terry, Puyol even Materazzi have had the careers they did

He is not a shit defender, he just ain't good enough for where we are aiming.
So where are we aiming that Dawson is not good enough for? Consider that Daws has been an integral piece of a side that has twice finished top 4...

Die Dawson
You piece of shit Dawson
I hope you catch bad aids Dawson
Fuckoff out of our club Dawson

:ROFLMAO:

For the record I have never hated Dawson as a person, cos he's Spurs through and through. But on the pitch he is shockingly bad and people like me are sick of him always getting done for pace, going to ground over nothing, his fucking hoofs, etc etc. This is why people totally negate him as a Spurs man and just focus on his bad playing style, it's too detrimental to our team for any compromise.

I'd find it hard to believe that Holtby wasn't pulling his weight. You don't captain a German national team (in any age bracket) unless youve got the right mentality.

Well, the proof that Tim may believe this, is in the fact that he was shipped out.

In the past! The PL has improved. The teams around us have improved. Liverpool have shot past us this season and Everton will give us a good run until the end of the season. That's without mentioning Man Utd having a stinker season and being outside the top 4.

So Dawson, Lennon, Naughton, Rose etc etc might have been good enough to get us Top 4 in the past but IMO not good enough now. Decent squad players but shouldn't be starting every game or Captaining our team.

But that doesn't mean I want you or I playing central defence for us because we care so much about spurs. Dawson wild not get in any top 6 side in the league

 He already is.

Also it's a squad game now. Chiriches, Kaboul, Vertonghen and Dawson is a very good set of centre backs. Can you name Arsenals 4th choice centre back?

Simple solution the club should fine a weeks wages for the entire squad including the management team! Fine them and see what it does to them, hit them in the pocket where it hurts them most! None of the players has love for the club, I wonder why are they behaving in this manner.

Part of me thinks we should do what the Italian fans do; turn up at the training ground mob handed with pick axe handles; find out who the players are who joked about after the game, and have it out with them. See what they have to say then!

Liverpool have shot past us this season playing an absolute joke of a CB in Kolo Toure, whose main ability seems to be kicking the ball into his own net as often as possible.

Everton are lagging behind us with a CB pairing regarded as one of the best in the league in Jagielka and Distin.

Perhaps it doesn't actually all come down to Dawson? Perhaps other parts of our team have been failing this season? If so, as A&C has said, perhaps we could lay off some of the abuse he gets, since it's so massively out of proportion to what he's actually done?

Finally, and when will people understand this - Dawson isn't even first or second choice CB at the club. He's supposed to be first reserve behind Kaboul and Vertonghen. It's hardly his fault Kaboul can't manage more than three games a season and the club hasn't bought a top CB replacement, is it? Why is he the target for abuse when surely it should be Levy/Sherwood or whoever for not replacing him, or for stupidly selling one of the league's best young CB's and a Spurs player since he was a child in Steven Caulker?

This endless shit about long balls and selling himself and being slow and all the rest of it, it's so bloody boring.

We are aiming for regular CL football are we not and we have been unlucky in regards to Chelsea winning the bloody thing, dodgy lasagna and just being a couple of points off for past 5 or seasons.

Sorry, he maybe good enough for 4th choice really, but nothing more. Then he has been injured a lot, Kaboul I think is also is one to move on due to the problem he has with injuries.

The guy has passion no doubt and he was probably in the right to have a pop... But still, we still need to upgrade on him in regards to a consistent starting 11.

Rose and Naughton have never been a part of our top 4 sides, maybe the odd sub appearance but for the most it was BAE and Corluka.

The PL hasnt improved as much as you think. Chelsea still compete due to their wealth, Arsenal still compete due to Wenger being a magician. These clubs were both top 4 anyway so no change there.

City have obviously improved and overtaken us due to their wealth, but again, they were already top 4 too.

Liverpool have improved and overtaken us as they've added some quality and given their manager time to impose his system. They appear to have taken Man U's top 4 spot.

Everton have always been there or thereabouts - but they still arent top 4 - no real change there.

Man U (as you said) have declined. Obviously the loss of red nose has hit hard.

I would suggest the reason we are not competing as well as we previously have is not down to Dawson not being good enough, he's still the same player he was and as already pointed out he's already shown he is good enough to play against - and beat - the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal. The problem is we have replaced the likes of Modric, VdV, Bale, Gallas and King with expensive flops or average players - or even not replaced them at all.

Football (especially Premier League) has changed massively over the last 10-15 years but there is still a place for players who care when they lose.
Look at the top of the table - Chelsea are competing with City for the title. It's generally agreed that CIty have the better squad but Chelsea seem to have more grit & determination and players like Terry & Lampard personify that; they're bad losers and their attitude rubs off on others. For all their talent, I don't see many at CIty like that (Kompany aside).

I have no problem with Dawson letting a few have it. He's less talented than the majority of the players that he captains but they need to show a degree of his passion and should expect both barrels if not. And if they don't accept it, get rid. You can only get by on talent if you're a superstar and frankly, we haven't got ANY of those in our squad.

But but but, you mean i've only got the £70,000 pounds from my paycheck last week? Nooooes how will I ever afford to live.

You'd have to fine them 6 months wages for them to even give a shit, and the maximum you can legally fine is like 2 weeks (i think)

It's generally agreed by Jose Mournho that City have a better squad. The whole thing of Man City having the better squad was dreamt up by Jose to put pressure on them. The truth is that Pochettino would love to have Hazard, Oscar, Willian, Matic, Cech, Ivanovic in his team.

The whole 'Man City are peerless' thing is just a mind game from Mourinho. It lessens the pressure on his players, turns it up on the City players, and results in whatever happening at the end of the season Jose comes out smelling like roses. There is very little difference between the two sides.

What the hell is an "almost goal"?

How on earth do you pick Dawson out for that?

Why are you not writing.....Verts, Sandro, Walker were responsible for ACTUAL goals.

Total inconsistency.
Erm the point was replying to the thread itself that Dawson was having a go at the other players, however he almost cost us two goals in the first 15mins so I don't think him having a go would work. So an almost goal is a thing that wasn't a goal but it was almost a goal ie the Hazard chances.... sorry if that confuses youo_O

I wasn't picking on Dawson rather stating he didn't have a good game either so him having a go at anyone would seem hypocritical IMO.

I think if you read what I wrote I said no one had a bad game, so unless "no one" doesn't include them players I think you should perhaps not make a pretty stupid comment:couchpotato:

In case you'd missed the fact, Dawson has been in a "top 6 side" for the last 5 years, and was instrumental in getting 4th. Twice.
Now he wouldn't. Not talking about the last 5 years. Tell me who he would replace in the teams now above us then?

But you just moved the goalposts.

You started by saying he wouldn't make a top 6 side......well, we are 5th.

Then you ask who above us would he get into?.....that's top 4 currently, with nothing settled yet.

You can't have it both ways.

And are you telling me he couldn't compete with 1 or 2 of Arsenal or Liverpools CBs?
