who would you play wide left instead?
well, when ready I believe Lamela is better suited inside, so here:

LW Eriksen
AM Lamela
RW Lennon

other folks can debate Townsend vs Lenno, but when healthy it appears that Lennon is still #1 RW

Next to no chance Lennon will be number one chance at RWF when fit, he doesn't fit the system anymore.

Unimpressed with Siggy on the left. Stats clearly show the right flank is by far Norwich's most recognized weakness. It should be exploited and it is a big question mark Siggy can do this, floating inside usually. Would've been tempted to stick Townsend on the left then, with Lamela on the right.

Anyway, big game coming up for Siggy. Let's hope he proves us wrong.

Happy with the team apart from Sigi. Would prefer (if fit) any of Chadli, Townsend (playing left, with Lamela on the right), Eriksen (with Holtby in the middle) Lennon

Hate Sigurdsson on the left, still, great that Eriksen starts and potentially quite an attacking team. Hope there's some fluidity.

or just provide a real linking player for GOLdado,.... such a waste watching him run around isolated all the time...

I have no problems with Dembele and Siggy starting when on form because they are talented players but they are both off form.

Well, last time I saw Siggy (Tbilisi home) he was producing rather well with one assists, one key pass to another goal, hitting the post, hitting the sidenet, some nice passes and constantly getting into good positions with no one to pick him out there. Guess last one might change with Eriksen providing some vision and creativity.

Holtby had no preseason and has only appeared in one competitive game for us since last season. It's not surprising he hasn't started. His fitness must be behind Sandro

Siggy and Eriksen both are creative, hopefully we will finally see Soldado.

We've seen next to no of his ability which is very unfortunate.

He's up their with the best in terms of being clinical.

And what would've Andros done on the left? Better suited for the right flank.

I can see Holtby and Sandro both starting in the midweek game, give them another run out there to get there fitness up.

The last part is completely wrong. How can you say that? You can't until Lennon comes back. Townsend has played pretty well and there is a good chance he has taken Lennon's spot as preferred option.

I wrote that because it "appears" by AVB's selection history that when Lennon is healthy, then he's #1 RW... That's why I wrote that - AVB will do what he wants to do and you are right, until Lennon returns to full fitness we will not have objective evidence. But I am not wrong, AVB picks Lennon to start as long as he's healthy historically.

Dont understand why so many people feel Holtby should be starting in an attacking role. He said he sees himself as a no.6 (as does AVB (I could be wrong on this!) Holtby has only had one impressive game this season ( I know its his only chance) against a very poor Georgian team and so many people think he should be in the no.10 role and will solve all our creative problems. I am not saying Holtby is not good enough to play or writing him off yet, but I think he is a way off being an automatic starter and would imagine he will need to show more to AVB when he appears as a sub and more in europe and League cup against more challenging teams before AVB starts him... Will be interesting to see if he's up to the challenge.

Staying on his flank, attacking the full back, hitting the byline and provide crosses - most of all: not floating inside like Siggy is likely to do.

Personally see little value in that, what did those crosses provide last time Andros switched to the left?
