yep, that was my worry - although I suppose it is sensible to have someone on standby as insurance in case Kaboul has a setback. It would be bad news finding in say October that you've only got three fit CBs and have to wait till January to sort it.

Hoping Kaboul will go from strength to strength and we'll never need to think about this again.

Any idea what we do if there is a significant injury to either Rose or Chadli? Depth on right side seems fine but doesn't seem like much at all on left, and what we have has potential and unproven.

Researched Nicolas Spolli a bit via the medium of a new thing called 'the internet'

It seems his strengths are clearances & interceptions and he appears to be an intelligent 6"4 centre back.
Probably one of Catania's best players, a 'fan favourite' at Newell's , Argentinian, so a mate for Lamela, but 30 so likely cover.

A 2 club man, he could be a bit of a Naybet.

I've seen worse ideas.

Because they are our biggest rivals both historically and on the pitch. Any strengthening they do impacts us massively. It's not pathetic to be mindful of what they do.
