Di Marzio, who has been by far the best source of breaking news this entire transfer window, has said that we have bid for a CB and will be loaning out Carroll and BAE to QPR. Considering an ITK confirmed previously that Di Marzio has links to Baldini, I don't think there is any evidence that we are done for the evening. In fact, it seems like quite the opposite.

I can see how my evening is going to pan out. I'm suck a mug.
I'm going to have the laptop open to SC, ipad on twitter and TV on SSN. They're going to make up a complete lie about us being in for semi-glamorous player (probably someone from Italy or Porto), and I'm going to sit up till 2am waiting to see if we got the deal over the line or not.

I can't believe some people in here will be unhappy if we don't sign anyone tonight. We have had a FANTASTIC window given the circumstances. If someone had offered me the changes in personnel we have had at the beginning of the window I'd have bitten their arm off.

We're weaker in one position, but we're stronger in about 7 or 8 others. If you're not happy with that, you need to be shot.

EDIT: And not to mention we've only spent about £5m/6m in total, and our wage bill has hardly changed. Amazing business if you ask me.

Di Marzio just posted about a swap Torres for Adebayor.

Agreed. Nothing left but to do something constructive and donate - which I have done - what a great ride but I think it's stick rather than twist for this TW.

Mid low level is flattering. Without his pace and power he'd be nowhere near the league. Improved defensively. Abysmal on the ball. Will never drastically improve on that either.

reading this today, I think a lot of people have been spoilt over the last few weeks. If anything yesterday showed that with a lot of new signings, comes a period of patience when the new team has to gel. This probably won't happen until November in my opinion. Until then, we will have to just put up with the fact, that we have the French captain as our goalkeeper. One of the best centre halfs in Europe. Two Brazilian internationals in centre midfield. One of the most exciting prospects in world football, bought for a club record fee. A highly regarding attacking creative midfielder who has been brought up playing the Ajax way, and a proven international goalscorer.

Yes there are a few areas in the squad which need improving, but these things can happen in time.

I think it's largely due to Ozil going to Arsenal, to be honest.

We have done good business this window and once settled they should all do well some more than others as there are different adjustment times for each individual.
So I'm not expecting anything tonight but if we do I trust the club to make the right decisions as to leaving us light in certain area's.
I can't wait until the next game to get yesterday's result out of my system.

we have bought very very good solid strong powerful players which will make us really stronger as a team but that one player we lost in bale who was our gamechanger and win games we would draw or draw when losing has not been replaced.

we need the world class signing to ignite the quality we bought in summer. not sure we will get it. we have more or less balanced the books between outs and in's and thats typical levy.

i expect some mad rumours to be released in next few hours but end up with no one.

again will be a struggle for 4th and if im been honest i just cant see it judging on yesterday against a muck arsenal side. hope im wrong.

We've signed quality players this window.
But it's looking very unlikely that we are going to sign a left back.
We will regret going into this season with Danny Rose as our first choice left back...
