Hope its properly done by 12pm tomorrow. Would love to see him against Arsenal, even if it would probably be from the bench. I'm not as fussed about Eriksen and Chiriches being done for the NLD but the hype around this kid has made me very eager to watch him play.

Townsend has played well recently but going to the Emirates without Bale or his replacement isn't the best of situations imo even if we do have a chance regardless.

The squad we're building is just ridiculous. It's so important for us to have genuine game changers from the bench and I think we'll have that.

Should we start to panic if he is not announced tomorrow?

No.

Roma already announced it and we seem to take forever to announce it even though the selling team usually announces it days earlier.

Soldado for instance took ages, even though we knew it was already done.

As long as he has already signed on the dotted line, i couldn't careless when they announce it. But has he?

I think most likely. Imo we're waiting to finalize the Eriksen deal and we'll announce all 3 together. I really thought we'd hear something official today though.

Do you think Lamela will be ready for the NLD, if OS has the announcement tomorrow?

Physically I don't think he'd have an issue at all. I think a late sub (70 minute or so) is reasonable. AVB wouldn't just throw him in the deep end and give him a start, though.

I think the deadline to have the player signed for us is tomorrow if we wanted him to play on Sunday which of course would apply to Eriksen and Chiriches as well. My guess is that they all signed today, maybe Eriksen signed too late to do an announcement today, so we will announce tomorrow. That's just a guess though. If the paperwork isn't sent in by a certain time tomorrow they wouldn't be able to play.

As Snarf says I think physically Lamela and probably Eriksen would be ready to play.

I hope so. It would be interesting to see whether AVB fields a 4-2-3-1 or a 4-3-3.

I think we may end up 4231. Lamela is a 10 shunted out wide for Totti. He is very creative. That also keeps Townsend and Chadli (and Lennon) playing. Probably 433 for tougher teams when we want to physically boss midfield.

My prediction is that we sign them tomorrow before that deadline, just so Arsenal have to consider whether or not any of them will play. I doubt Chiriches will even be on the bench and if Lamela or Eriksen are at all involved, it would be coming off of the bench. The players we have available right now are good enough to win that game, so we're probably not in too much of a hurry other than for the sake of playing mind games.

And don't worry about Lamela, he has signed. He better have at least. I already donated for him and Rob told me no backsies! :banghead:

That's a good point, but Scum (even with their injuries, etc) will still come out guns blasting (no pun intended).
So we probably shouldn't underestimate them. Some finesse and creativity will be helpful though.
I don't know if AVB will throw Lamela in right away though. If he does, that's what you call "baptised by fire".

I meant overall, I would be shocked if Lamela started. I would assume we go with the Swansea lineup again and hope Paulinho can convert his chances. Dembele may be under threat in the future if he can't start getting Soldado opportunities.
